My son will go to La Salle 09/2007, any parent can suggest what to prepare for it .
My kid is a small-boy born in late 2001 & he is quite active. Thanks.

have you joined the parent meeting for pre p1 boys?  Mrs Pau should have tought you a lot, just follow what she said.  In general, let your boy read as much as he can. 99% of the boys here are active, don't worry

Chinese is comparatively difficult for the P1 boy, poor Chinese may affect the result of Maths too.  My boy start to read Chinese with comics as they are more interesting, and he can read a lot of Chinese literature now.  I don't think 保習 is good for small kids just in P1, it seems too harsh for them ar.  However, don't be too worry la, boys may overcome and get use to read Chinese very soon.

我的兒子也是9月份入讀La Salle 小一，大兒子也是La Salle學生，所以比較清楚學校運作，中文是很重要一環，不是單單學校要求，而是教統局課程編排方面的問題，小一學生已有很深入的要求，不單是字面的了解，而是要消化後再運用，而幼稚園又沒有這方面的訓練，所以除非你有很多時間或耐性，否則不要希望輕易教他們中文，要是一開始發現有問題，最好早些解決，否則問題累積下去便很難解決，因為課程進度很快。

學校的課外活動很多，暑假可以參加多些，但開學後就要選擇了，否則變成「周身刀，無張利」。

家長也要預備多些時間和精神協助功課，因為很多功課和親子比賽是要家長一起參與的。
