我的小朋友在小一和小二的時候是不需補習的，但三年班明顯是跟不上了，所以找了私人補習先生給他，很貴，剛剛才開始,不知效果如何？但親子之間的關係沒那麼緊張，我也暫時有一種鬆口氣的感覺，算是正確的決定吧！

我仔小一。很奇怪，當樓上樓下街坊見到我黃昏帶住個仔，都會問我仔仔是否剛剛補完習（其實我仔只是到我奶奶家玩）。

是不是補習已經成爲趨勢？小一要補，幼稚園生也開始要補，什麽世界？我自己常覺得，除了學校老師，有誰可以比我更清楚知道自己仔仔在學業上的弱點？我自己教（當然要付出時間），我覺得是最好的!

唔知可否用嬰兒吃母乳和奶粉來比喻自己教同補習呢?

教仔有時好似在半夜三更起身餵奶咁，真係幾辛苦，但人奶又好似好D....

Although I do some private tutoring myself, I have to agree with Teresa that parents are the best tutors to their own children, especially at primary school stage.

However, there are some other factors we should consider. Some parents are both working, thus leaving little time for their children. Some parents may not be able to handle the subjects, especially English. However, there is a growing trend that non-working moms also send their kids, particularly those already quite good at their studies, to private tutors. I have a student whose mom is a graduate, non-working, and has the experience of tutoring her son herself. Her son is now a medical student. Presumably, she can do the tutoring to her daughter perfectly on her own as well.

i insist to tutor my son by myself (then we can save more money for his future, it is the main point).
my son is p.5 now. to be honest, it is really hard to
keep on going since i am a working mum too.
so, do all working mums have to hire tutors for their kids? i don't think so.
