The most important thing to study if academy is the place you want your kid to get in, if yes, then try to get in to pre School, though I don’t really like it. Some people get in to academy just because they look at the college placement but not the school culture and value. It’s quite academic and especially more mainlanders join the school, the academic level has thus increased (or become more competitive). Expect to have tuition class outside school even in KG if you have high expectations on your kids.
My child told me the happiest year she had in school is FY but since then it is tortured. It depends on kid’s personality.
