去過幾間新校既簡介會, 感覺target customer 唔係外藉人士 (外藉人士嚟香港工作都唔一定個個供得起20萬一 ...

expat 來香港，MNC 高層自然唔洗自己搞手續，普通人家一嚟到就想有學校入，邊有時間去簡介會？
我相信，香港人始終是他們 target 。
至於內地人，如果了解佢地文化，就知佢怕試新嘢，亦信品牌效應，到任何地方都 "自成一國" ，
目標相信會是會某幾間己收開內地生的 Y 記,  H 記,  I 記，我又唔覺得佢地個個想試新校。
Y 記收內地生已多年歷史，H 記英國名牌，I 記也有名人高某為 icon ，呢三間肯定未滿。
講到尾，種種原因影響，香港是比十年前少老外，好多大企業都不選擇香港為亞洲區總部。

香港新呢批國際學校，欠承托力，好難有舊一批學校的文化氣氛。
以往入國際學校的，即使是香港人，也是較西化，而家位多了，其實吸納了十分多 "本地" 人，即係日日返屋企看 TVB ，完全和以往國際學校的文化不同。
不是説不好，但家長要有心理準備，學校可能只是卦名 "國際" 。

內地國際學校，好似只收有外國護照的孩子?

隨了師資，相信家長的mindset, 小朋友間的ethnic/language mix 也很緊要，如果大家主要playground languag ...

Not only playground language, but also the "culture" of the school.
There are lots of local chinese at SJS and KJS, but students are all very westernised and speak good english.
The reason is the background of the families are mostly very westernised.
If a school can only attract local families that watch TVB everyday, and never want to immerse themselves in western culture, the students in the schools would not be like students with other typical IS.
Of course, I am sure some parents think that is fine, so it is up to them to decide.

其實一直 NJ 都非明碼實價收學生，根本唔係咁易。
D 人又唔明 conditional offer 個分低少少係正常。
有 D 人聽人地話 "某科收 34 分" ，以為好易，但人地要求 minimum predicted grades 要有 38 分， 34 分可能只是 conditional offer 要求的 final grade。
如果聽人話 "收 34 分" ，就以為自己有 predicted grade 36 分實收，就真係死。

Like poonseelai said, it is similar in Hong Kong. Except medicine with high requirement (usually require high predicated of 43 or up, and condition 41 and up), most other program with comparably low requirement.
If students only look at the requirements of conditional offer, they will be disappointed.
For example conditional offer of medicine is 41 (or 42) (students all have predicted grades 43 up). But with only predicted grade of 41 and 42, you will not be invited to interview.

(Sigh) It was already explained many times, but many EK parents still think NJ is easy. Some parents even suggested others to go through NJ so that it is easier to get into medicine.........

Include everyone not taking the current year of DSE.
So repeat DSE students are also NJ. Students from UK boarding school, local AL, local IB.
And also those that apply to universities in Hong Kong from universities in other country even.
Actually, many students apply to medicals school in Hong Kong AFTER they completed a bachelor degree elsewhere.
So it is up to parents to decide whether NJ is exactly a "shortcut" like some other parents in EK said.

Having said that, I am talking about "elite programs".
If students have eyes on non-elite programs, it would not be too bad.

Fact is also that IS students usually have eyes for overseas universities as well.
