IS math 程度

LC167

大部分IS 的Math 是否很淺（compared with LS)? 我想比練習但發現佢地程度lag behind 街外練習，eg year 5. 想問其他IS mum 是否一樣？
除了SIS 比較深，ESF 呢？

我唔覺得一個在EK用唔同身份出ad 的人值1000 /hr.尤其是教每個人都懂得少少的maths.佢係大師如果教琴或者可能charge 到咁多。但數學唔值咁高charge.

Being a teacher like you have mentioned does built a career, but probably earns less money than tutoring!If one charges $1000 an hour, say he teaches 5 hours a day for 22 days, thats easily over $110,000 a month income.

For many people, career = money.

If he/she can charge $2000 an hour with proper teacher training, then its prob worth it for some.....

They can apply for teaching jobs in secondary schools first, get their education qualifications, learn how to teach and gain experience with students. The fact that they are smart in taking examinations does not mean that they know how to teach. There are so many techniques involved in teaching and education. That's career planning.

True. If an Oxbridge graduate starts his/her career as a home tutor, his/her future career will likely be the same. It's not right or wrong with this. It's more common for an experienced teacher to quit the teaching job after some years of teaching and start his/her tutorial business. But for a young Oxbridge graduate, it might not have been expected/aspired by both his/her parents or himself/herself after so many years of fierce competition gaining an Oxbridge place, paying for the expensive tuition fees and studying hard.

Actually many of Oxbridge grats in HK are working in the agencies for tutorials and advising on applications of overseas schools.

What is your career aspiration? You have graduated from Cambridge for 3 years (if your advertisement is genuine). Do you want to simply work as a home tutor? Have you found a full time job? What was your major? Prospective parents may ask you the same questions. I am sure they don't want their children to simply work as a tutor after sending them to Oxford/Cambridge. The few years after graduation is critical for building up your future career.

我見美國的免費學習網站 Khan Academy，羅列了從幼稚園到考大學的數學，孩子可以根據自己的程度自學，我兒子很喜歡，有興趣不妨試試。

資優人口有5%，香港800萬人，應該有40萬人資優。美國人口3.2億，資優人士應該有1600萬人，計理中國資優人口，全球人口，的確多如繁星！！
如果CTY課程受歡迎多人報名好合情合理。始終CTY是美國人設計，HKAGE更適合香港人好合理。父母提供叻的仔女enrichment課程亦好正常，有時只是方法及模式的分別，個人觀點與家庭資源都因人而異去各自選擇吧!
lQ130及150的能力差距好大，有些家長的孩子1Q150，看人家130的就好平凡。(正如心理學家說想像下以正常1Q100的看1Q70,80的弱能人士咁)
没有人說自己的孩子是甚麼天才，舉些名人例子也只是想鼓勵資優要培養，可能表達得唔好令人誤會了。
正如有些家長會讓孩子上HKAGE課程，也是用心培養，值得欣賞。
由頭到尾都討厭港式填鴨式補習。更有被人取笑對孩子太放任。聽到也為有一笑致之，始终較崇尚西方的探索式教育，認為保護孩子的好奇心及想像力比叫孩子記實一些facts更重要。
