千金難買少年窮
19/04/2016 I recall years ago, my life in UK, nevertheless, a few points I don't agree:-
1. not every UK family has dishwashing machine
2. once you offer to the washing up, they will presume you like to make the offer from then
3. years ago, water bills included in that kind of land rate, not like HK. Unless, they change the policy. Hot water may cost a lot
4. the landlady has been living there for years, of course, she found nothing wrong of her home, a new comer may be.
5. do not expect all westerners are rich, most of them just have sufficient money for daily living
6. also, sale items in uk is not rare at supermarket, the on shelf rules are very strict, so, sale does not mean bad, nothing wrong to buy the sale items but you need to use up by the best due date, that is.
Well, the girl does not need to work, it is pity?
I remember, I did cut the discount tokens for shopping and also bought sale items etc.
From my point of view, the 16 years old daughter or HK kids have been spoiled for years. This is real and normal UK life, not that kind of '窮'.
I am very sorry to say that it is not a fair comment.
