PolyU Score Calculation

PolyU website: "All relevant subjects will be given a weighting in the calculation of admission scores. You may refer to the respective programme entries for a list of subjects with the highest weighting. Core subject as specified in the University General Entrance Requirements will be given a weighting of at least 7 whilst preferred subjects will be given a weighting of 10. All other subjects (including relevant Applied Learning subjects) will be given a weighting of at least 5."

假設 Programme requirement: Best 5 Subjects; Preferred Subjects: Eng., Maths, and all Science Subjects

而 我 Best 5 係 Eng,, Maths, Phy, Chem, Bio

請問是否全部 x 10 ?

Maths, you mean core or M1/M2 ? I guess core and M1/M2 have different weighting.

You can send an email to PolyU to clarify the calculation for your scenario.

據我了解，應該正確。

如果你有M1/2，而成績好過其中一科BEST 5，你科M1/2，可以計半科，再+BEST 5最後成績個一科(都計半科)。

要留意這計法只適用於2016-17學年，2017-18會改為4+2, programmes 的個別要求也可能調整，要留意9月更新的課程資料。
