朋友女兒準備2017 讀sixth form...做緊資料搜集..托我開個帖問
佢想讀 A level ...唔考慮IB, pre-U .... 偏向選女校, 不過男女校都會考慮...最好係一間學校而唔係考試工廠

就咁睇2015 A level 排名榜....撇除 Cardiff Sixth form , Concord college 同Queen E,,,,佢對以下學校有興趣

Brighton College
Westminster School
St Mary's School, Ascot
The Haberdashers' Aske's School for Girls
King's College School
Wellington College
St Helen's school

有無家長熟悉以上學校,尤其係sixth form?

朋友主要想知香港大陸學生比例, 學校設施, pastoral care..上課形式同情況

Wycombe Abbey....好多香港人小1已經報名讀中1 ,好少人轉校, 中6想讀近乎無可能,不過都可以叫朋友宜家寫信問下兩年後有冇得報.
我知st mary's ascot 都係類近情況,要起碼早兩年報

I have heard about St Mary's Ascot as daughter of a friend's friend studied there.  Not sure if such third hand info will be of use to your friend.

Trust your friend is aware that the school's policy is to accept mostly Catholic students (90 something percent), so basically you have to be Catholic otherwise your chance is extremely slim.  It is a small school, some 300+ students, very warm and cosy atmoshpere.  School is very friendly and helpful.  It is a full boarding school. Pastoral care is very good.  Very good religious atmosphere also.

They only take in a few new girls for 6th Form each year. So you have to apply early because they will close their books once they have a certain number of applications.  Only a few HK students there, and even fewer is PRC students.  Heard they took in 1 (may be the 1st) PRC student a couple of years ago (because of their Catholic requirement, you can imagine not too many PRC students will qualify).

As for Wycombe Abbey, i have heard that they have made offers to a couple of HK girls for Sixth Form last year. Competition for a place is very intense but there are places and if the girl is bright, can consider to give it a try.
