我諗冇人能夠比個肯定既答案你架, 你知啦, 考到私小/直資既小朋友唔一定個個有去tom lee, 只能夠話有學音樂係一個bonus.  而學校取錄某學生一定唔止淨係睇課外活動, 有時佢地有某d收生標準根本唔會比我地家長知.

我俾，肯定冇。早前去參觀 tomlee 那個十三屆鋼琴大賽(五級組別)，不少6、7歲的黃毛丫頭，和十一、二歲的一起參賽。你估邊班人表現好ｄ？答案係~差唔多！

若想子女認識音樂，無防。若想以此作為武器，不如慳番ｄ錢去上~面試班~

考直資/私小，多數都是看孩子的面試表現，所以：

課外活動：
不需太多，太多會變得太濫。課外活動也不需要標其立異與

1)find a school to fit your kid
     OR
2)train your kid to fit a school
In fact, 面試班 train your kid to handle interviews

No use for admission to primary school, it is just a waste of you and your kid's time and energy. Since the time span of the course is 9 months. I in fact join the course when my daughter was 3 and finished the course with my daughter. I know lots of parents who did not have the patience to finish the program and quit midway. I suggest you to play more music CD or video to you kid at home, which serves the similar benefits to her/him. You rather save some money and send her to private piano lesson when she was 3.5 - 4. School like this skillset more. Hope this help.

囡囡上咗幾堂, 不過佢好似唔係好enjoy, 每堂都係repeat 又repeat, 似乎適合细個D既小朋友如2歲.

music class is just for fun, not a tool for getting a place in primary school.

My daughter hasn't taken Junior Music Course. However, I know friend who take this. Their comments are the beginning part of the course foused on playing songs with lots of the notes "Do Re Mi", and to train the ear of your kid to get used to "absolute pitch". Material covered is quiet easy. They finally quit, and switch to piano. Maybe you can take this as a reference.

My son has completed "Music Wonderland"
and is now taking "Junior Music Course".
As these 2 courses require participation (or
presence) of a parent,
this gives me a chance to observe my
child in a class.
The music there is good.
We both enjoy the songs and
like singing them at home.
It is right to say the course provides
ear training which I think is very important.
I can see some kids there who
have difficulty following.
Hiring a private piano teacher
can help a child more on note recognition
and skills.
But with limited time & resources,
I may not have my son completed the
whole music course (which I understand
will last for 2 years).

My son has already taken the Junior Music Course. He liked the music atmosphere as he was singing with other kinds during the lession. I am not sure it could really help him applying primary school, but most parents taking this course have the same faith that it could be an advantage.

My comment is only that it takes 2 years to complete the course, otherwise no cert. given to the child.  A long period even the child really enjoys the music lession.

My son has attended the class since Nov 04 when he was just 4 yrs old. At the beginning, I felt it was too difficult and my son did not enjoy it! I was about to give up and enrolled him in another Yip's Music Class. However, since this month, he is catching up! He could understand all that was taught, he could sing the songs and could PLAY the tunes (all of a sudden)! Now he enjoys a lot!

I think the teacher is professional in teaching young children. The materials are good examples of "activity-based" learning. They use beautiful pictures and very appropriate melodies to illustrate concepts step-by-step, like do-re-me, rhythms, music notes etc. The teacher looks very cute and she is always smiling. She can sing and play the piano very well. I hope the teachers at my son's KG are as good as her!

I think the class is very good to develop the children's interest in music and gain some preliminary knowledge. However, if you are serious about playing the piano, one-to-one teaching should be better than such a bigger group!

Back to the topic, I don't think it can help much in P1 interviews, except that he can sing more songs than other kids?

對於一個 3-4 歲既小朋友, 我覺得 Music Wonderland 是可以作為培養佢地對音樂興趣既基礎, 從群體參予之中去初步認識音樂既樂趣同知識, 當然若重點為考學校, 就要想清楚一點, 了解自己既需要最緊要          .
