Grading System
For students admitted in 2010-11 and thereafter:
The grades, their standards and the grade points for assessment shall be as follows* #:

# Special permission may be given for courses in individual curricula to be graded as ‘Pass’, ‘Fail’ or ‘Distinction’

Honour Classification
Degrees, except the MBBS and the BDS where Pass and Fail are awarded, shall be awarded in five divisions:
First Class
Second Class Division One
Second Class Division Two
Third Class
Pass
The classification of honours shall be determined by the relevant Board of Examiners at its absolute discretion, taking into account the standard attained by candidates in the written examinations and coursework, as well as other relevant factors. Honours classification may not be determined solely on the basis of a candidate’s Semester GPA or Cumulative GPA. A pass list of successful candidates shall be posted on Faculty notice boards.
