QBS has a lot of locals...
I think the case is, RC is "private," and therefore is open to all applications. All the other ESFs (except for DC) are all catchment based. Whether you get an interview at these ESFs depends on A. your category B. your lottery luck C. your kindergarten.
In my case, DS got an interview at Glenealy and he didn't even go to an ESF kindy! He got deferral to a second interview next year because he is the absolute youngest in the batch. However, if you get an interview, at least in Glenealy, chances are you have a 95% admission rate. It's all luck as far as we can see - no relations with the school whatsoever.
As for DC, I think it is too far and not so convenient for most city parents to consider. |
