I used MS Word for the text part and MS Excel for image (photos/certs) part. The latter offers more flexibility in re-sizing, super-imposing and arranging images.
Do it by yourselves. It is a waste of money and inefficient to let other do for you. You can alter the cover and content at any times when new stuffs come in.
Powerpoint seems a bit complicate for our C9 type ... I know one mother even used CorelDRAW to design a very colorful and graphic profile but finally still failure from nearly all private schools ... only SFA OK ... so I think the kid's performance during interview is much more important ...
