If your son was born in Oct 2010, he will reach 2-yr old in the coming Oct (2012).  If I were you, I will place him in PN of a kindergarten firt once he reaches 2 yr old this Oct 2012 - whether the kindargarten is famous or not is not an issue.  

In around August/Sept this year, you will need to start the application for K1 2013/2014.  You can apply for K1 first as a small B first and if fail, then try PN again as a super BIG b.  In generally, a lot of kindergarten will release K1 interview result before the PN application start so this appraoch should work - at least for St. Catherine, you can do this.
