Thanks for your sharing.  If we focus on only PRIMARY SCHOOL, how would you rank them?  Say we rank them on basis of secondary school placement.  Also as I know, DGS, a DSS school, has 50 F.1 spaces for non-DGJS and HYS, a govt aided school, has 100 F.1 spaces for non-HYPS.  These factors affect the secondary school as well.  For APSKT, every year they have among their 150 students at least 15 going to DBS and 10 going to DGS and 15 going to HYS but very few going to Maryknoll/Marymount.  So APSKT is very strong.

This is how I rank them.....

DGJS>MARYKNOLL>APSKT>HYPS

We got HYPS P.1 placement w/ 20 points.  Waiting for APSKT interview.  No luck with DGJS.  Did not apply to GH/SC/SPCC as we live in Kowloon.

If only consider the curriculum, APS is better than HY.

If your target is DGJS and you have confidence that your daughter is top in studying, APS is better.
However, you should consider the pressure in applying secondary if cannot change to DGJS in primary school.

My friend's daugther is studying in alliance and she is from her own kinder.  she is working hard in her daugther , try to push to the top 15 from the grade, push hard in her instruement , and try to apply P4 in Heep Yunn.

I think, If I have your choice, still heep yunn, and try to keep up the her ranking, and train her talents. and try again in DGJS.  ( not saying alliance is no good.  but since you are lucky enough to get Heep Yunn, ( still dream school for many girls.). work hard there if I were you. Keep the standard of your daugther's acadamic and any of her talents.

I understand and appreciate your input.  Since I graduated from APSKT ranking #2 in the grade and got admitted into DBS, I have this nostalgia for DBS/DGS......  I guess keeping HYPS make sense as I would have more resources to help my girl to be well-rounded in music, sports and academia.  APSKT has 150 students where HYPS has 90 students.  Only concern is I have 1 younger son coming and 1 daughter following.  If my girl can get into APS and do well, the 2 younger ones can benefit.  But I don't know whther she will deliver.  So keeping her at HYPS, at least I still have HYS as a backup and can aim for DGJS or DGS.

凱 琳 報 讀 中 一 時 ， 何 媽 媽 專 程 帶 她 由 天 水 圍 往 佐 敦 的 拔 萃 女 書 院 面 試 ， 惟 終 未 獲 取 錄 。 凱 琳 憶 述 ， 面 試 時 女 拔 萃 的 老 師 問 當 年 只 有 9 歲 的 她 ： 「 你 咁 細 個 ， 住 天 水 圍 搭 車 咪 好 遠 ？ 每 日 都 要 花 好 多 時 間 搭 車 ？ 」 凱 琳 答 ： 「 是 。 」 不 久 ， 何 家 獲 女 拔 萃 通 知 凱 琳 未 獲 取 錄 。 本 報 昨 日 向 拔 萃 女 書 院 查 詢 當 時 為 何 不 取 錄 凱 琳 ， 但 未 獲 回 應 。
