Hi Ian, You should be so proud of yourself.
You know how you want to educate your girl and you can stick to your belief.
My son is still small.
I want to let him learn things that will benefit for his life time so I pick phonics (instead of Cambridge starter class), Mandarin (which myself is not good at), drawing (for this motor skills which he is weak).
For music, now is the singing class but would like him to pick a instrument that he is interested in.
My friends already told me that all the classes I signed up have no cert. or without joining any competitions, it will not bode well for him in P1 interview process.
So, I start to worry as well, wondering how to balance his interest/good for life long education and plainly “learn for interview”.
After getting into K1, I start to wonder what is “education”, especially early childhood education.
The current education system seems like not letting the kids to fall behind in ANY aspects.
But all kids have different development path.
