ESF extra curriculum activities / expense

Hello all,

Can you please tell for ESF primary, (more specific Kowloon Junior), what sort of extra curriculum activities normally a student will take, such as sports, music & arts, study tours during term break. How much it cost per year..... Thank you!

Hello, can anyone help to advise so have an idea besides regular school tuition fee $63,000 per year. How much should we expect a kid would need to spend during the year. Such as extra curriculum activities, study tour or others.Thanks very much.

For junior student, not much and not many activities at school.

May I know students in ESF Junior school (in brief) will they taking lots of extra courses outside ESF, with other institutes like others non-international school student does in general ? Or ESF curriculum  pretty much cover it all.

Also, can you advise the school hour for primary ? full day or half day.

我不是ＫＪＳ　ＰＡＲＥＮＴ，所以可能答不対題。　但整体我覚得這個問題好個人、任何答案都不可作参考。　有Ｄ父母注重学術方面、当然会主力参加学術方面的、有Ｄ父母覚得小学階段、多点運動方面也無防。　我地間ＥＳＦ放学後都有多的ＣＬＵＢ　ＡＣＴＩＶＩＴＩＥＳ，但我看参加的人不算多。　真係要睇父母想小朋友点様然後自己決定。　May be you can throw out more specific questions, then we can input more for your reference.

My specific questions is would like to know as a whole how much a kid studying in ESF would have to spend. Including school fee, extra curriculum, etc.

I agreed with you - in a way - it depends on how parent wanna the kid to be - in terms of how much extra curriculum activities given to the kid.

However, we can't live on our own either, should other ESF kid also joining activities, might as well my kid need to join some.

If you can please share your experience how much a kid studying in ESF would have to spend. Including school fee, extra curriculum, many thanks!

My kid studies in another ESF primary, they charge a few hundreds a year for field trips, and also a few hundreds to a few thousands for camping a year since Y3, depending on where and how long the camp is.  The higher form it is, the more $$ is paid.

For extra curricular activities, usually students take some extra Chinese lessons after class, costing around a few thousands per term (there are 3 terms in a year).  If parents choose other activities from ESL, then a few thousands more per term depending on your choice.

The extra money spent every year varies, usually more and more when the kid goes up to higher years.

For Yr 1 - Yr 6, is it full day class or half day class at ESF primary.

For Y1-Y6 it is a full day class, from 8:30am - 2:45pm.

As far as I know, there is no summer study tour from the school.  Usually students will go overseas trips with their family, most teachers and students will go back to their home countries for vacation.

In secondary, there will be optional overseas trips every year during term time (CAS week) for students, there are a lot of choices, but the cost is relatively high, range from $8K to $20K+ for a week, depending on locations.
