My brother lives in Whampoa and got a rejection letter yesterday.  :cry:

of course no need to write letter la.  You think this school is not so helpful, why all mothers called the school and the school are unwilling to check?  They must try to give helpful impression to the parents.

I've received a waiting list letter on the day of mum received acceptance letter.  I've applied AM class.

剛剛看到有些媽咪收到譚歐陽少芳的拒絕信，我也想分享少少。我也於昨晚收到信，初時有些不開心，但再想，也未必是壞事，起碼少一個選擇，少一個煩惱、是否很消極？我從來沒有留意此幼稚園，身邊也沒有朋友送子女去讀，直至最近上網看到家長的評價，才留意此幼稚園，也就試試，讓女兒報名。

不過看過此校的書信、報名表格、問卷及網頁後，再加上面試的安排，實在對她的印象大打折扣。整體上英文不好，甚至意思錯誤！雖然這些未必可以代表師資，但也令我懷疑小朋友所學的英文會是怎樣，港式英文?

先說說要家長填的Questionnaire:
我記不起正式的字眼，但Survey一開始說想知道家長的”Point of View for reference purposes”而問題竟然是1) How did you learn about our school, 2) Do you know the nature of our school…這些並不是Point of View，不是看法或意見，而且nature of our school 意思指甚

Don't be unhappy.  It is not the best kindergarten among all the PLK kindergartens.  You have nothing lost.

I totally agree with your points. My child perform quite good during the interview. I answered all 3 questions in English. The interviewer also comment him Excellent. But finally rejected. Even not on waiting list. Don't know their standad.
I understand that they may have many things need to consider. But at least don't have any misleading comment to the applicants.
They did interview for 400 applicants in one morning by different interviewers. What a efficient and good management! HaHa!!

I guess at least they have the following standards:

Priority given to:
1. South-asian children
2. Siblings
3. Parents are PLK graduates

So, you can tell how many seats they left after these.

我都有收到信, 睇完都好唔開心, 仲有少少嬲, 因我覺得佢地o向收生的selection procedure有問題.

當日我去 plk interview的時候, 每個房都應有一位英文老師一位中文老師的. 英文老師負責in 家長, 中文老師負責group埋3個小朋友一齊玩, 睇佢地的behavior的. 而我去的房間, 都有呢2位老師, 英文老師in我先, 中文老師當時無group小朋友一齊, 只係同另外的家長傾, 英文老師問完我問題之後都有比test Alan做, 佢問我會唔會考慮下午班, 其實我係唔明佢點解咁問的, 因為我為左報上午班, 一早去排隊, 下午班就寄信去都可取表. Anyway, 我同英文老師傾左都有10分鐘, 當時佢表現都好impressive, 又讚Alan behaves very good, Alan 係一路都好乖咁玩佢面前的玩具. 轉到中文老師後, Alan面前的玩具被o羅走比第2個小朋友, 變左o麥野都無, 中文老師就首先問Alan Flash card 的東西, Alan 都答中大部份, 之後中文老師又問返我同一個問題, 我又要重複咁答佢問題, 又要重頭講解, 當時, Alan見到另外2個小朋友有野玩, 佢無野玩, 已開始唔耐煩啦.

但我o向bk睇到第2d房的interview唔係咁的, 分開interview的, 點解我被interview的手法咁唔一致的, 咁佢點可以好公平的情況下定收生的標準呢?
