LCP Solution for ADD and Speech Delay kid

Dear all,

Anyone heard about LCP Solution (Long Chained Polyunsaturated fatty Acid) can help the ADD and Speech delay kid???

I just read about it, pls see below:

It said some fishy oil DOES Help the kid to talk.
The LCP Solution suggested:
For kid over 5 should take 480mg/day of DHA for first 3 mths then following days starts 240mg/day. For Kids under 5 should take 240mg/day from the first day of starts.

Hi st,

Actually, I have try some DHA fish oil and flax seed oil to my boy who is speech delay.  For the detail information you can check the previous message in this forum.  There are lot of websit that you can buy it through internet.

你開始比囡囡食未呀? 軒軒由11月8號開始食, 多左好多單字, 前晚還半夜起身唱歌唱到4:30, 足足3個鐘頭, 真係夠氣過alan tam.

希望d dha丸真係有用.  不過協康的姑娘都話佢跟人講單字單得好左.

你們去另一個topic好似叫"有無人有興趣買dha丸", 有個媽咪係美國, 介紹左好多有關dha丸的資料架.

軒軒初時食果隻, 都係我婆婆係加拿大幫我買的, 即係ckf介紹果個牌子, 30元加紙, 180粒, 士多啤利味, 我剪開個膠'浪', '支'出黎, 混埋魚肝油(司各脫)一齊比軒軒食, 但因為佢一日要食4粒,我覺得好煩, 所以後尾我們夾份買左另一隻牌子, 強x素(屈臣氏), 甘就比軒軒食呢隻, 因為一日食一粒, 甘之前果隻就比佢家姐食, 因為家姐成粒食, 不駛煩.

強x素貴好多, 3xx一樽, 得80粒.

所以如果效果差不多的話, 係web-site訂就平好多.

雪肌"X " is good, but more expensive, according to I know, the pill size is bigger, 370mg DHA/丸.

The one that my girl try is 175mgDHA/丸. And I just starts to give her 1.5-2 丸 /day.

The Fatty Acids used in Durham
There are many fatty acid supplements on the market, and finding the right one was crucial for our research strategy. We needed a supplement that was mostly omega-3, but had some omega-6. It also had to be high in omega-3 EPA, which appeared to be the key fatty acid for optimal brain function. And in order for us to administer it to school children, it had to be of high quality.

We approached a specialist supplier of marine and botanical oils. We had seen through contacts with support groups that their popular supplement appeared to show very real benefits for many youngsters with learning conditions. They agreed to supply our trial programme with the supplement, either in capsule of liquid form, depending on the age group being assessed.

The supplement uses fatty acids specifically for eye and brain function. The omega-3 element is a marine fish oil that has a particularly high ratio of EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and is left in its purest natural format. Virgin-pressed evening primrose oil provides omega-6 fatty acid GLA.

In trial work so far, each participant on active capsules, or liquid, has daily taken:

EPA: 558 mg
DHA: 174 mg
GLA: 60 mg
This is either in the form of six 500-mg capsules, or three x 5-ml teaspoons of flavoured liquid. Participants were given these at different intervals throughout the day. Our pre-school trial used a citrus-flavoured liquid because many youngsters found it hard to swallow capsules.
