小女都係年尾出世,不過我照比佢升小學,因為我覺得佢應該可以應付. 其實真係好睇小朋友既發展,快慢各有不同.

My daughter is born in 31 Dec.. Her standard is not high, but I will still let her try P1 in DSS.

what you say is just what I orginially think. but when I phone ED they said even if i let my son study in private and DSS p1, next year I can still join the government allocation. That make me quite confused.

Where do you get your information?

Dear ALAL,

Your son's kindergarten may have sent you a pamphlet on Primary One Admission at the turn of September.

Notes (2) says "Children who have been allocated a P1 place previously, and pupils who are studying at a government, aided, DSS or private primary school are not eligible for participating in the Primary One Admission System." In Chinese, "所有曾獲派小一學位，或在本港各官立､資助､直資或私立小學就讀的兒童，不得參加小一入學統籌辦法。"

I am quite confused too.

I guess personally that they have that regulation but they would not check. Just my own speculation.

I'm a brand new member. I was attracted by this topic cos I got the same experience one year ago. Finally I decided to let my boy to repeat k2 in a different kinder. My boy is also born in 31 Dec but I think he should 1 year older than your girl.
