Thank you for your kind sharing and reminder for bringing an umbrella. My son sweats easily and will get itchy afterwards. Your reminder does come at the right timing.
Still very bad arrangement. The interview just lasts for 1 hour 15 minutes and you are requested to arrive 30 minutes earlier with your kid. However, you and the kid have to line up and wait for 30 minutes for nothing. Those are still K3 kids only. Why DBSPD requires all parents and kids to wait and line up for nothing. The arrangement of KTS is very good. No need to wait and follow the time as specified in the letter. Give a comfortable environment to all parents and kids.
What is DBSPD doing? Always set many obstacles to parents and kids. If they have targets, don't play other parents. We are not begging for your seat. DBSPD results are not so good as early years. DBSPD, don't put yourself in the top tier.
Personally, I also do not have a good impression on this school. I feel it's more of a type of 'what you can contribute to the school' rather than 'what the school can do for their kids'. A very pragmatic school. Similar style as DGS.
If you have to look for a justification, it may be part of the test (of patience) and and effort of shattering your preparation effort.
My complaints:
(1) I think the school is off today but they do not allow parents to wait in the vacant classrooms far away from the interview rooms - not sure how this helps to "preserve an optimal interview environment" stated in the interview notification.
(2) The kids cannot go to the washroom in advance and were rushed to finish the washroom routines in a toilet near the registration area (covered playground) despite the fact that they had to wait outside the campus for so long without washroom facilities. I told one of the teachers there (before my son registered and obtained the name sticker) that I had wanted to go to the washroom earlier but for having to line up so long outside.
(3) Thank God it did not rain today; otherwise I'm quite sure all the kids and the parents would be soaked from head to toe staying outdoors for more than half an hour.

The arrangement of interviews can be a 'mirror' to the mindset of the school management
It sounds like a very bad arrangement! I'm glad that I didn't apply for this school!

蝦, 上次喊苦喊忽嗰個係我呀, 我已經無事啦! 不過今次一定無我份, 哈哈!
According to my son, the interview included:
1. a very attractive video to watch;
2. a long story with question asked; (to assess kids' concentration and memory)
3. interesting tests (my son said the term "test" to me)to play (to assess logical thinking);
Although knew the details, can't prepare anything I think!
My advice is just go there on time. Too early is useless, just waste time and make our son frustrated!
Proud of my son without expectation from this school! Cheers!

睇黎好多家長對男拔都有類似態度,好過St Paul Boys,有d家長好大期望,收拒絕信就要喊苦喊忽。:)
Hello hello, it's one-to-one ( not sure how many teachers but only one kid for a time) interview as mentioned by my son. Please treat it as a game for your son rather than battle. All of our sons have already done excellent as they are only 5. See, what we are doing when we were 5? Be smile just like your name ma! CHeers!

I had also undergone such 'battle' this morning too with going up and donw the hill
But your kids are so smart to tell you about the interview. My kid just said it is a one to one interview, no ...
In this morning, I saw many parents showed their nervous face with their unhappy son. I am glad I showed my happy and pretty face with my cheerful and lovely son! Don't think too much in this stage and be positive all the time!
