I just called the school and they said they will send out letter on this Fri. I like this school too, although the location is quite far as I live in Shau Kei Wan. This secondary school connected to it is 匯基書院 which I heard is a very good school. I have a colleague's son studying here and his son has just got in 皇仁 for secondary 1.

我個囡都收左, 10/10 in, 我都好confuse, 好想等埋蘇淅同真光result先決定, 蘇淅10月尾會通知, 但真光要等到23/11, 今日in完高主教又覺得囡囡表現唔錯, 可能有機, 真係唔收又擔心, 收左又好苦惱!

Yes, I agree with the opinion of Jen. I called my friend immediately to get more info after I got the offer as she has 2 sons studying there. Below are  what she told me:

The existing principal is ex-principal of 港同, she brings in a lot of new ideas and enhance the English level. Similar to 港同, they are child-oriented and motivates them to learn independently and proactively rather than push push push. She said the spelling game is really good and it is more effective than 默書. They gives a lot of chances to children to present, so their presentation skill is generally good. They don't have 精英班 but will divide into 3 to 4 groups for different subjects according to their level starting from P.5. If your child's academic result ranks   1-45 (say total 90 students), they will give you the form of their connected school

I live in Shau Kei Wan and the school said need to get on the school bus at 7am as the school starts at 8:00 am.

Yes, it clashed with True Light, I took a taxi and rushed to there after True Light's interview.

交左呢間同蘇浙, 但心目中始終想真光, 如真光得便可安心大抽獎, 唔得就選救恩, 放棄抽獎, 因驚waiting 番轉頭會無位。

Yes, True Light has a secondary school as back up. 70% of its primary students can enter it. I like Kau Yan very much, actually I checked the school bus time schedule, both have their lessons started at 8:00 am and need to get on the school bus at 7:00 am, so the location doesn't mean the travel time will be shorter. As most good and band 1 secondary schools have connection with their primary schools at HK side, the seats for other primary school students will not be many. So when I think of this, I would prefer True Light as it's a band 1 English subsidised school that is a popular choice for most parents. But for Kau Yan, though it has a connection school in Kwun Tong but it is a DSS that means I need to pay for 12 years.
