May I know which level your child is studying.

For SC,
K1 - Very simple lines and words.
K2 - Starting words.
K3 - Complicated words and sentences.

From my knowledge, SC's chinese is OK for any P.1 in Hong Kong.

My daughter study in Nursery. Coz when she study Pre-nursery (in Learning Habit), she learn quite difficult Chinese wording, just like doctor, policeman..... already.
I'm not sure the level in st. cat is good enough or not.........

Dear Jass Chow,

One of my daughter already prompted to P.1 and the other studying in Upper.

They both only studied Chinese in school.

The purpose of Nursey Education is attract them for learning (not pushing like the other school).  Let them have fun in the school for self learning and exposeure by themselves.  Of course, practising at home is very important.

The words of "Policeman" and "Doctor" is K3's word in SC.  Both words are normally studying in P.1.

Let you kid to know the structure of words instead of remember the words.
Trust your school that's the reason you put your kid to SC.

Honestly, after cfm my daughter study in st. cat (originally apply this school, coz a lot of people said it's a good and famous school), I still keep to compare st.cat with the others carelessly........
Anyway, I think you are correct, I must believe and trust SC!!

唔好忘記 SC 係活動教學既學校，同一般傳統教學係唔同既。我比小朋友入嚟呢間學校，就係唔想佢死記硬背兼不斷做家課，而係希望佢係遊戲中學習，享受3年愉快既幼稚園生活。佢識足夠既中文應付到上小一已經 ok。拔苗助長只會令小朋友怕左返學同讀書，以後仲難攪。

如果你既目標只係要佢識好多好深既字，可能真係揀錯學校。

其實, 對呢方面有懷疑既家長, 有無認真地study 過bk 入面現成k2/k3家長既post??? 如果有既話, 應該知道, sc 既k1 小朋友係唔學寫字, 淨係做線條練習.....

唔好睇少呢d 練習, 對小朋友日後執筆有好大影响, 3歲人仔手腕力未夠, 有無發現好多時d 小朋友寫字唔係對唔正個格中間, 歪埋個格既一邊? 就係因為太早寫字, 小朋友控筆能力同空間感訓練都未夠所至囉 ~ 咁早學寫, 教嗰個都勞氣la!

sc k2 呢就開始寫簡單既字, 但唔係單字, 要學埋詞語配對....佢地係自家設計d 圖畫嚟教小朋友認字架! 好有心思! at least 對我個囡嚟講, 呢個方法好work, 佢記中文字仲易過記英文生字! 好似都有簡單句子, 絶對做到活學活用, 小朋友真係無咩壓力下又學到野....

k3呢, 可能之前佢地認字個底夠....一開波呢, 嚇c 人! 我最記得....以為個囡上左小一........."學校" "老師" "同學"...."口裏有二十隻牙齒" .......係開學第一頁要佢地寫既字......仲未計擴張句子, 填充, 重組句子, 閲讀理解, 辨別錯別字呢d 其他練習.....仲有加埋每週中文溫習,下一週英文...再下一週數學...不停由開學循環至學期尾畢業...........絶對應付到小一課程.....基本上我都無咩同個囡溫過中文....英文仲好, 都唔知佢幾時認到咁多字.....小朋友讀得開心無壓力, 唔好咩!

無入錯學校la, 係學費貴d 啫!

聽聞, 今年個中文又深左勒....就係俾人話佢中文淺, 間學校好滿足各位消費者既要求.....我都幾欣賞吖......起碼佢唔係門高狗大....

仲有, 若果大家都有朋友既小朋友一起讀幼稚園的話, 不妨比較下....第2樣唔敢講, sc 既admin 做得好出色, 咁多班咁多人兩間campus, 所有既安排未亂過! 手冊 + weekly notice + monthly notice etc 樣樣跟到足包您完全清楚小朋友學緊d 咩, 仲有埋考試範圍.....outing 又俾足您.....呢方面真係無得頂! 連上年臨時停課後既畢業典禮安排都做得好好, 我地大部份家長都好滿意.....

放心la, 讚完佢我又無so, 個囡都畢業lor, 今年讀小一......

交得d小朋友比 SC 就要信學校, 我大囡 SC 畢業, 現讀小二, 中文比同班同學優勝 (因沒有名次, 所以不知確實成績如何, 只知比班內平均分好, 且有一段距離).  囡囡的各舊同學在其他學校的中文表現亦不俗, 依我觀察, 除了 La Salle 同 KTS外 (或者包括其他一兩間), 其餘大部分小學的中文程度相約, SC 小朋友應能跟上.  至於 LS and KTS, 中文程度相對比較深, 家長可能需要給予額外幫助, 囡囡的朋友在 KTS 亦考得相當理想.

我細仔現讀 K2, 開學以來, 程度與以前差不多, 但聽朋友說, 校方已應家長要求, 比以前教快少許.

In my opinion, I think you son is not suitalbe study in SC.  Because SC is teaching simple chinese word in N class eg, 車, 人, 手, 口.  Your son will feel boreing.

請問您有無睇我之前post?  我咪講過sck1 係唔使寫中文字lor, 淨係認字, 但真係好基本....主要k2先開始學寫字, 仲要由12345, 一二三四五咁開始....大約內容您自己睇番...但唔知e 家有無轉, 但一定追唔到您位小朋友既程度...可能even無幼稚園可以做得到....呢方面您自已都應該好清楚, 都唔關係咪sc 事, 亦唔係咩expectation 既問題....

選校最緊要認同辦學理念與方法.....否則您一定不滿意/唔開心.....您自己考慮下!

其實, 您自己教得咁好.....可以搵間free d 既學校俾小朋友

My son is the classmate of yours now.  I really feel so much pressure as your son is so outstanding !!!  As I know you are a working mum and is pregnant, I can't image how you can teach your son with such achievements.  I should learn much from you.  Can you share more about your teaching methods/techniques ?

i cannot say whether SC's Chinese learning is too simple or not; but i am sure your english language is very poor
