除了校際音樂比賽外，還有其他音樂比賽嗎？請各家長幫我留意下，私人辦的都可以，我希望給小朋友多點比賽經驗Thanks!

有些琴行會定期舉辦一些音樂鋼琴表演，通常不是比賽，只是給予小朋友一個機會在台上表演。(例如大會堂、劇院、商場等)

可以問一問所屬琴行。(不過通常是大規模的琴行如柏斯、通利、國際音樂藝術天地等)

There is another music competition, which is held by Joy & Fun Music Centre (at Sheung Wan). It consists of two parts: ABRSM piano graded classes (any one piece 2003-04, 2005-06 exam syllabus), folk song performed by piano or guitar. The most special aspect of this competition is the juror, guess who? It's Lawrence (RTHK & Albert Au's pianist) and Ray (Music Farm Restaurant's pianist and singer). I love them so much, anyone listen to their programme on Sunday night? My son has joined already, it costs $100, I think the price is fair enough for my son to obtain such performing experience, and it's a good opportunity to prepare for next's exam. I also like Lawrence very much, he's so good. I listen to his programme at RTHK every sunday night, anyone listens to it? The syllabus of the competition seems ok, as it contains 2003-04 exam pieces, so my child doesn't have to prepare new songs again. I think I'll let my child join this competition to obtain more performing experience.

thank you so much!我都好欣賞 lawrence 彈琴,屋企都有好多他的CD,他開的演奏會我都有去聽,我會鼓勵其他的小朋友一齊參加 joy & fun music centre 辦的音樂比賽,可以得到大師的評審,實在是難得的機會,價錢亦比較起 tomlee 的合理,到時我們的小朋友可以較量一下啦!

You're Lawrence's fans?! It's a really good experience for Lawrence (such a wonderful pianist) to judge our children.
By the way, I went to Albert Au's concert last night, it's fantastic, and I saw Lawrence as well. Albert Au is going to hold a folk song concert from 31/12 to 2/1, it cost $250 per person, are you interested in it?
I'll ask my son to practise more to enter the final to meet Lawrence.

My kid has already entered the competition, he's joined the Grade 2 class, and he'll play the 03-04 syllabus, and his teacher is looking for a folk song for him to play in the competiton.
Which class has your child entered?

Hi, my son is going to play the grade 1 group, his teacher had chosen the 05-06 syllabus for him. This competition is a good chance for him to prepare for next year's exam, so you may choose the new syllabus for your kid instead of the old one. Because I don't mind if he wins or not, just let him to gain the experience, that'll definitely help him in the exam. So, I encourage every parents to let your kids to join this competition. Don't mind about the result, what you'll gain is much more then what you pay.

There are a lot of folk songs in a no. of piano books (eg. Children Pieces, Teaching Little Fingers, JT's Melody All The Way,...), these are examples for young children. For teenager, you may choose Albert Au's folk song, as his CDs contain both Chinese and English songs.

Is anyone know whether the competition songs in this competition will be the same with that in the 57th Hong Kong School Music Festival.

The songs are different from the 57th Hong Kong School Music Festival, but they're the same as ABRSM 03-04, 05-06 syllabus, or you may enter the folk song class.

Noted and Thanks.  The pieces of music songs in fact is the same with the London Royal Music syllabus.

Thanks for the address. I'll enter the folk song class for my son, as I can choose the song from John Thompson, I think it's far more easier than any other competitions.

管樂卡拉OK大賽2004
決賽將於11月21日(星期日)晚上7時30分假香港大會堂劇院舉行，決賽門票現於城市電腦售票網及通利琴行公開發售，Music For Life會員更可以以半價$30欣賞當晚盛會。票務查詢2734 9009。
