I just checked with the IB organization [url=<click here>]http://www.ibo.org/[/url] website.

IB has 3 different programs:
Primary Years Program
Middle Years Program
Diploma Program

When I searched the searchable school directory, LOGOS is not in the list. Only the following 6 schools (CIS is allowed to provided both MYP and Diploma) are authorized to provide IB courses:

Nor is LOGOS on the waiting list.

But I would not worry a bit.  The school is new, many new schools claiming to provide IB courses (like Australian International School) are not on the list also.  Since the application to become an IB provider school takes a lot of money, parents should not be too worried about this.  There is a saying goes like this: if the problem can be solved by money, that is not a problem.

But I think it is not about the MONEY so it is a PROBLEM.
Please double check the regulations of "How to be a IB provider School in Hong Kong by IB organisation."

不知你有没有參觀真道之web-site。他是我見到最"務虚"的web-site。老實說，全個Web-site的功能像宣傳單張，而不像提供有效之資料。

不過，在IB課程上，真道倒說得清楚：即頭八年是真道自己的課程，最後三年的課程才准備考IB試："此三年，學生除了把上一階段所學的知識技能，深化提升、融匯貫通外，同時也將完成大學預科國際文憑課程及本港設立的新高中課程，為應考大學預科國際文憑試，及本港未來設立新的高中試打下堅實的基礎。成績優良的學生，將可順利升讀海外或本地的大學。此類課程的內容全球統一，極具國際視野。"

至於怎能又參加大學預科國際文憑試，又可參加本港未來設立新的高中試，只有他知。

I agree that it takes lots of resources and preparations to be authorized by the IBO. However, since Logos currently does not have students in the Diploma level and it takes about 2 years to be authorized (info got from the web), it is not the right time for Logos to put too much effort on this issue.

I am one of Logos' parents. If Logos can successfuly offer the IBD course. I don't think it's necessary for my kid to take the future HK university entrance examination.

Below is some information I got from the web:

Schools must be authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization to offer the International Baccalaureate curriculum and administer the examinations. The approval process takes about two years and can cost from $20,000 to $100,000 for training, material, and equipment. The start-up process includes a formal application and consultation with a regional IBO representative, completion of an in-depth self-study, an on-site inspection visit, and the submission of written documentation to IBO headquarters in Switzerland. Schools are reevaluated every five years in order to maintain their authorization to offer the IB curriculum. In order to receive authorization, schools must be prepared to offer an adequate range of courses in the core subject areas, demonstrate adequate fiscal and human resources to support the program, and provide evidence that they will be able to sustain an adequate enrollment in the program. Although the IBO does not require schools to offer pre-IB courses, most schools find it necessary to prepare students for the IB curriculum by offering pre-IB honors level courses to students in grades nine and ten. Teachers must participate in specialized and ongoing training in order to teach in the IB program. The integrated nature of the curriculum requires well-trained teachers who collaborate with each other and district and site administrators who are committed to program ideals.

我的孩子入小一時，真道還未成立，不能報名和觀看Mr Yau之表演，有點可惜。我有朋友去面試，時間是晚上八時、尖沙咀區，两公婆和Mr Yau談了30多分鐘。朋友說，這也是人生中其中一個令人難以忘懷之片段。他想不到小朋友入小學，比起他見工還認真。

1.先是Mr Yau談真道之理想和前景，總之，是 the best of the best.
2.再問朋友對教育之信念，看看理念是否相同。

朋友說，30多分鐘己很累。那時Mr Yau見過近千家長，花多少時間可想而知。要知他正職是校長啊。能用餘下的一點時間將真道變成the best of the best，他不是超人是甚麽。

Today

Last year I had attended the seminar for applying PI.
One parent asked for the IB and Mr Yau's answer was:
IB is one of our choice but we might change.  We are stilling looking for the most popular (or appropriate) exam for  our student several years later.

No further discussion in this topic after he answered.

我覺得真道是一所超勁的學校,但如果家長沒有足夠的支持,我所說的是擺了幾多心思同觀察自己小朋友各方面的發展,我所說的不是花了很多錢去學野,如自問沒有質素的與子女相處,就不要報真道了

因真道不只對小朋友要求高,對家長亦一樣,要求自律,自省,自學無咁上下智慧,時間和修養的父母,點識教?真的不是參加面試班所能學倒的

這所看似輕鬆無壓力的學校,其實一點也不簡單.
我始終認為教好一個小朋友,學校只佔四分一,而家教才是最重要的

我的小朋友的學校是一間絕小家課,無課本的學校,但他認識的比我想像的多

就是因為我教識他善用時間,所以我己經可教他形聲字,指事字,會意字,透過遊戲而學習,與一位教小學的朋友講起,她笑說小三前教他中文的老師一定很頭痛呢
大家不要誤會,我的小朋友不是真道學生,他只是k3仔,我也不是老師,只是一名家庭主婦

至於IB,相信邱校長對教育的遠見和觸覺,10後是否仍是IB最hit也未知,正如無人知97後個市會跌到口甘傷一樣,其實IB只要在考前2年註冊便可了

邱校長擁有老子般的思想,很勁
校名用希臘文,很型

真希望我的小朋友能成為其中一員就好了

正所謂:有人辭官歸故里,有人漏夜趕科場

Logo is not just a School but a religion. Mr. Yau is not just a Principal BUT a leader/chairman of the religion.  If you trust it, you will be his disciple and give all you have. If you do not trust it, you will be his enemy and against his idea.

Finally, I do not understand ....

Mr. Yau is selling his IDEA or selling Logo's?

Who want to be guinea pig? Let them go.

So, it seem does not matter we send our kids to any Primary School if we [parents] can teach them at home.

實在我是可以選La Salle的,但我驚我自己會發瘋,所以現在全部先直資,當然,我的心水仍是真道,也很羨慕你有2ND interview,現階段只有等

問題是：

1.他有没有將原本Band5之學生，經他五年教導下，變成一個Band1學生。
2.他有没有將原本Band1之學生，經他五年教導下，更進一步。

各位，他以前教的學校，有没有被評為正增值學校呢？
