我囡囡剛剛六月尾先考完straters
我小朋友是k.3，6歲都未到!我覺得我囡囡學左劍橋英文之後，英文真係進步左好多

聽到你地分享P.1就考ket/pet，小朋友真的很吃力啊~

其實我俾小朋友學劍橋英文，係想囡囡英文方面好d，而且我相信小朋友無野push佢，佢係唔會肯去串生字既!

所以我當今次考試係俾佢去學野，因為我見我囡囡今次考試前真係溫左好耐書，串左好多生字^^所以就算考得唔好，都唔會話佢啊!!

囝囝升五年級, 請問有經驗的mami, 我打算利用暑假, 咁我應該如何預備呢? 我去過三聯, 佢地無呢d書賣, 是否要上去英國文化協會?

今年如果唔得, 明年考也可以. 希望在叩門考中學時有呢張証書幫助吓.

你可以上英國文化協會網站下載sample paper.
另外,你可以上深圳書城買PET練習冊,有學生用書及教師用書(有答案).
唔想上深圳.可以到旺角樓上書店國風堂看看.那裏有好多大陸出版的 劍橋英語練習冊.

去過南山書城,但只找到西安交通大學出版的<劍橋實景英語 REAL閱讀2>,是否這本呢?謝謝!

唔係呢本。
係北京大學出版社出版，書名，劍橋初級英語考試教程，這套書分學生用書和教師用書二冊。英文名係Cambridge PET Practice Tests,Student's Book & Teacher's book.

唔知有無人知書展有大陸出版社攤位,會不會有PET賣呢?

我個女5月考左ket, 係英國文化協會買書. 佢話考試內容同書差唔多, 大同少異.

打算12月考pet, 剛岩係書展見有pet買, 於是買左. 出版社係 cambridge press.

想問下大家, 唔同出版社的pet mock exam paper, 內容是否不同?

Just come across your posting today.  Frankly, I do not understand what you are talking about.  What do you mean by your kid is going to take the exam in coming Nov, while on the other hand he has 100% pass with merit?  Pls clarify whether he/she has already taken the exam.  If yes, then I am very interested in how anyone can get 100%.

Maybe the English level of you & your family is too high for me.  I humbly wish that you can enlighten me.

Firstly, language learned in school, parent as an assistance only. He review & do some sample papers from 北京大學出版社出版's
Cambridge KET/PET Practice Tests, which purchased in China.
Only little careless mistake in KET & some incorrect in PET. (without testing in oral part). But writting speed is slowly.
Therefore, get good in KET or pass in PET is estimated only.
I will take KET and/or PET in coming Nov if writting improved.  
I just want to ask parent, are you take the exam for record filing without any purpose of cert?
eg. S1 place or better school.

Thank you very much for your sharing.  May I ask which school is your kid going to?  I am very interested in finding a school where they teach KET/PET level English in kindergarten/P1.  I also have a son (5) & I would like to send him there.

For my daughter, I just let her take these exam for her fun, because she always like taking exam.
As a matter of fact, she has already taken Flyer (15 shields) & PET (Merit).   She is planning to take the FCE in coming Dec.  Any advices from you are welcome.

Thank you for the suggested blog.  It is very interesting, but I do not think it is useful for me for the time being.  It is still a few years till I need to worry about S1 allocation.

His school is general primary school, not a famous school.
His school is not teaching any technic or skill for examination.
English teaching is same sylb. as other Primary school, no 1 or 2 level up.
Just provide a good enviroment for language learning, no any text book for language class, use Longmen's phonic fun & school's worksheet only.
English is basic skill for learning, not a ruler for measurment child. If kid love reading, and parent can assist child when reading for explanation for more.  
Good English is not labelled for good result, just get basic skill for learning.
I told my kid "Your English is a middle in class, many classmate is beter than you. pay more attention in other subject."

His school is not recommended a student taking not suitable level for examination.
Just P1/2 for starter, P2/3 for Flyer.
His school is provided a mechanism for student jumping if required. If child has a problem in learning, school will adjust the correct level for kid.

If a P1/P2 student who probably will pass with merit in PET is JUST middle in class, then his school's English standard must be number one in Hong Kong.
However, I agree with you that just  being good in English is not enough.  That's exactly what I always tell my daughter.  
Anyway, it's fun to talk to you.  If you do not mind, please PM me advising the name of your kid's school.
