Any parents here who have children taking piano lessons before the age of 5?

I would like to know what the experience is like. Doesn't matter if it's good or bad.

And if not piano lessons, what other music-related classes you have heard or tried? Is it group learning or individual teaching?

Many thanks!

Thank you everyone here for sharing your experience. My K2 kid loves music and is usually happier in a group environment.

So I am a bit worry that one-on-one piano teaching is too intimidating and intense.  Any one here has heard about Suzuki Piano?  Is it a continuation of Kindermusik for older kids. Group lessons?  Anyone know?

I also have the same question as Lilo.  I do play piano myself, and let my child try on the piano at home, but 手指走位情況嚴重, so I couldn't tell if he is ready or not.

Would you be able to share more about the group piano class at Parsons?

1) How big is the group?
2) How does it different from one-on-one?
3) Do they teach score reading?

Many thanks in advance.
