I heard that GT is quite "free" but it seems the public exam results are quite good.
How does the school practically create a happy learning environment while maintaining a high academic standard? Can you share?
In the coming two years, most primary schools will limit the class size to 25. How does GT maintain its competitiveness? Will there be some new selling points?
For the first question I can’t answer you because I am also waiting to see the result.
For the second question, there are two considerations:
1.
Reducing the number of students per class not necessarily resulted in proportional increase in teaching performance. Other factors are needed to be considered too.
2.
I think as a result of this change, GT school would received more subsidize from Government

GT just doesn't emphasis drilling & too much homework, as Paul sir ( Maths panel head) said they inspire the students, teach the students but not drill them with overwhelming past papers.
GT integrates the public exam. materials in the curriculum, the students are prepared during normal school days. Also there're additional program during some weekends & holidays before the exam.
As Pro. Li said they'll focus on Eng. during G7-8, so all G7-8 students will take the PET & IGCSE-ESL. Furthermore, there're special programs such as supportive groups for the students who are not preformed very well, & sometimes these programs are conducted by Pro. Li himself.
After these few years, they're very pleased to see the progress & improvement. And as a parent I surely touched by their enthusiasm & heart!

Thanks for your answering. If the school is successful in developing high-level thinking of students and at the same time giving students a happing learning environment, it must be a very outstanding school.
