I think we might meet when the appropriate time comes one day (serious version)!!  
 
I think your child may meet me in next year's Speech Day (joking version)!!

She will be P1 in Sept and she has no background in French at all.  We are having her taking basic French class during summer.   She seems to have high interest.   The teacher said she is picking up fast.  Hopefully it helps a bit when the term starts.

Don’t worry about the French subject as the marks will not be counted.
I believe most of the pupils have not learnt French before.
Just treat it as an additional interest class for your child.
 
Also, don’t forget that we do have an enthusiastic new P1 parent called “flostangraphy” who is said to be very fluent in French language and I am sure he won’t mind to provide FREE tutorial classes to current and new TSL pupils & parents.

因為自己有成4個試要考,而且全都好重要，今個星期日考埋就一身鬆啦,所以乜都係下星期先算

to be honest, I really hope she will eventually pick up a third lanugage quite fluently instead of just an interest.   From my personal experience,  there are quite a number of people I know do speak a third language........ Japanese, Spanish, Italian, French etc.   In today's competitive world, I do NEED her to master a third language.  BTW, I will fully support her if she wants to learn a forth language.   

I believe they are now in a golden period to learn languages.  I further believe that, on average, girls master languages far better than boys.   I do find these attributes when comparing my daughter with my son.  So I won't push my son too hard on languages !!
