Re: 浸會大學附屬幼稚園,小學及中學(王錦輝中小學)
I am also one of the parents who feel happy about the school meeting last night. After the informative group meeting, I was outside the lecture theatre listening to Ms Din's explanation to parents about the English class. I also saw a class teacher who was surrounded by a group of parents (almost 10:00pm already). Both of them were so nice and patient to answer non-stopped questions from curious parents. All these can tell us that the school is trying to let us know what they are doing and make us feel comfortable. In fact, I can see that the school is shaping up quickly in a short period of time. Of course, there were some tiny problems when the classes were started, e.g. missing notice, homework arrangement, outdated web site, etc. I do not complain these because I know the school needs time for improvement and hearing feedback from the parents and the staff. If I had to comment on these problems, I'd request them to spend more time on other important issues rather than these. I know that complaint can always be rephrased into suggestion. I think the school is willing to listen to both complaint and suggestion, but suggestion is always more acceptable and can achieve a better result.
The school makes us feel comfortable because they told us what they are doing. If I were a staff of the school, I'd doubt that the Yahoo forum is being used to discuss something secret or making complaint behind the back of school. It doesn't help to build up mutual trust of the school and the parents. In fact, the forum is not secret at all. Anyone can forward the message to the school if desires. I'd prefer making suggestion or recommendation (not complaint) in the public, or through the new parent website from the school, or phone them. It helps the school to understand what we'd like to see and what we don't.
All enthusiastic BK parents : I really appreciate your contribution on sharing the information of school. Please forgive my offensiveness of the comment on the forum.
