Agree with you that 九華 is not as well-sound as before. My brother-in-law is a doctor and was a 九華 graduate in the 70s. With good education at 九華 and his hardwork, he went straight to HKU. His son (my nephew) went to 九華 secondary after graduated from Tak Shing Primary school (Jordan). My nephew told me that most of the students at 九華 were not up to standard. Poor English. My sister helped him to seek private English lesson to improve his English, of course, he also attended a lot of outside lessons to prepare for open exam. He got 9As three years ago and is in the School of Medicine in HKU now. Well, even going to well-known schools, a student to be successful or not, need lots of support from parents and outside source. My sister spent a lot of time to do revision of most of the subjects with my nephew. Cannot simply rely on the school (teachers).
