Hi 小谷,

First of all, congrats on your son's admission to both HK Preschool and Anchors

Your in the same position that I was in a month ago.

To tell you the truth, Anchors is a better location for me because they have a bus service which stops just outside my apartment. We went for the interview 2 months ago and was told we got a place. However, we decided against Anchors. Anchors is a great school. It is brightly coloured and has a more pleasant environment.
We have however, chosen HK Preschool over it for the following reasons:-
- HK Preschool is more reputable
- HK Preschool has better programmes for the kids
- HK Preschool gives more feedback on your child's progress
- HK Preschool has more activities/excursions
- We've made so many new friends that it'll be sad for us to leave
Generally, the major deciding factor is that we feel HK Preschool would better prepare our little girl for when she goes to primary school.
It's a tough decision to make and I hope I've made the right choice.

請問各位 HKPS-Roygal Ascot 的媽媽，我個仔剛收到學校的信收佢讀下午中英交班playgroup，你們認為老師們怎樣呀？學校的教學方針又好嗎？其實個位外籍老師是否與其他中文老師在班房內一起上課呢？有待各位媽媽的評價。

我都驚我無咁快 3:00 到呀, 可能會遲小小, 因為我要去 central 同金妹睇醫生, 跟住金爸要去傾野, 如果我唔等佢, 我要自己坐車返沙田, 如果等佢, 可能要遲 d 喎    

而家 15.16 都唔知自己返去先好, 定等佢好

So far I'm satisfied with HKPS.....the Eng teacher will stay in the classroom all the time and the class has 20 mins mandarin time per day.  Teachers and aunties are nice...... like last time when I went to the school picnic, the teachers and aunties told me many things about how my boy doing in the school.  The school is quite open with lots of activities, reading scheme and the communication with parents is quite frequent

Thanks for your information.  Which class (Anglo-Chinese or Int'l Class and AM or PM) your kid to study?  Do you think your kid's english is better after back to school?  You will use which language for communication between you and your kid?

My boy is in anglo-chinese pm class.

We are of a bad example.... we talked to him in Eng before 18mths while my parents/in-laws talked to him in Cantonese.  The doctor advised us to talk to him in Cantonese since he's a late-talker and so, we switched back to Cantonese since then.  As I have a bun bun at home, my boy is basically explosed to a bi-lingual environment.  So far he's ok in both language in terms of comprehension and we found he had good progress in development in general after going to school.  And the most important point is, he likes the school

Hi Sandy, my son will join the pm class in the coming Sept. However, he usually sleep for 2 hours in the afternoon. Can you teach me how do you plan your kid's daily schedue? like what time does he wake up and eat prior and after school. Thanks.
