Thank you so much for your quick responses!

HayBmum, My daughter has never taken any chinese medicine before.  She took several courses of anti-biotics during the last two to three years at times when she was ill.  And she still had milk in her diet until recently.  So at the outset we just thought it was more an yeast problem.  She is now on Diflucan to address the yeast issue.  For the heavy metal contamination, we suspect that it might be caused by her bad habit of biting things (finger nails, her pillows and even hard objects such as table when she feels anxious or throws tantrums).  I myself even suspect if the paints, markers and pens she uses to draw with and she favourite playdoh would play a part...

Lab tests (whether screening or more precise ones) always puzzle me.  It seems no use to just look at the absolute values.  It is the interpretation that matters, but unfortunately that could be quite arbitrary.  Afterall, it's more a trial and error thing....

kawai, you are right, I am a bit reluctant to apply DMSA.  I still think it is a strong drug.  Although I haven't got the time to go through the article about DMSA recently posted here, I am still not very unwilling.  Those non-instrusive methods you suggested sound good.  I will pay a visit to Little Giant soon.  Don't know if Dr Trodd has got the clay for removing lead?

Friends, you remind me of the PAP blood test...my son is going to undergo this test in two weeks time.  But I nearly forgot the issue of getting him pinned to the chair for blood taking... Domom's method is a good one.  Will try...but just don't know how he would react when seeing the needle and his own blood...and it takes several minutes...

ultramom, it takes time.  your son is making progress bit by bit and that is still progress.  You are doing a wonderful job so keep carrying on and stand by him!

As far as I know clay bath is only available at Little Giant.  I ordered online my 10lbs package 1 year ago from US.  The shipping cost was even much more expensive than the actual product.  

Even though the use of clay bath is quite complicated. I think it's worth a try as it can be given once in a week.  It also helps with calm and reduce stress.  I suggest you to buy a big plastic box which is available in different sizes at Japan City.  I bought a big one for my son's bathing.  It's perfectly fit for this purpose and much more cost effective than using bath tub.  You may use the box as toys container too.

Besides, epsom salt can be used for bathing daily.  It also helps with detox, reduce stress and calm.

Acupuncture points massage is one of the methods to help with relaxing.  I'll give you the notes after finishing the course on coming weekend.

My son's dosage is 1 capsule x 2 per day.  However, he does not have any stuttering.

Also, Dr. Td did not give any reasons of his unlikeness on TF.

Just to add little bit more on clay bath/epsom salt/ ETDA - my son has been taking all these for several months.

Clay bath - once a week but lately not used for a month due to hot weather.  It serves better result (I believe) when the water is hotter (at least 40-42 C)but my son is unwilling to soak into hot water in these days.  I once saw him sweating on his head during soaking and I trust that it helps extracting toxic elements through his skin.

Epsom Salt - available in both Health Gate & Little Giant (but in bulk quantity).  My son has been taking 3 spoons (5ml) a day in his basin bath everyday.  Since there is no -ve effect, I shall let him continue.

ETDA bath powder - has used for half a year (taken from Dr. Lam) but recently stopped.  Just want to check if there will be any difference or side effect, but observed none also.  Before I mix this with epsom salt together in the bath basin.

我個仔之前都食過Learner's Edge and PureKids, both are 1capsule*2times daily, 但他食完之後個人好high,又亂叫亂笑,所以停了沒有再食.可能因為喺Learner's Edge 入面有兩種成份的L-Carnosine和 L-Carnitine啦!因之前他食完都好high的.

Why you have to visit Trodd?  Are you stilling visiting Lillian Ko?

我都有俾espom salt bath俾阿仔, 用咗成大半年了, 不過我每次用2個(濃縮)洗衣粉scope落bathtub, (佢用大人浴缸沖涼). 我以為我已經用得好少, 因為dr trodd話一個"handful", 我再想問"詳細"d, 佢又好似話份量冇所謂??.
我開始時用一個洗衣粉scope, 後來先加到2個scope, 我發覺加到2個scope之後, 佢"jum"5分鐘左右就手指/腳指有皺皮, 心理上好似吸咗d嘢出嚟
請問你用15ml的epsom salt, 係問邊嗰呢? 我想知自己係咪放得太多??

唔好灰心啦, I think there is no one single key to unlock this autism puzzle.  我哋作為家長, 只好儘力一樣一樣解決問題啦. 大家努力啦
我個仔最近揾咗個小兒腸胃科睇, 先發覺原來佢真係有gut problem, 佢條小腸真係有發炎, 而家要食葯. 個腸胃科醫生唔係dan doctor, 所以佢唔相信腸病會同austim有關, 不過而家見到腸真係有發炎, 一定要先醫好佢啦.

回復腸功能後，相信你會見到仔仔的改變，但怎樣才可control條小腸唔再發炎呢？Dr 會否有advise?

我都有問過醫生, 點解條腸會發炎, 佢話好多原因可以引致腸發炎, 而小朋友有腸發炎亦唔係少見...(可能因為佢係腸胃科), 而且講真, 普通小朋友就算腸胃唔好, 都好少走去睇專科, 多數只係睇兒科就算.
我問醫生食物敏感會唔會引起腸發炎, 佢都話有可能.
可能都要做食物敏感測試, 唉... 又要見血.... :cry:  :cry:
請問有冇家長做過food allergy test? 可否講吓經驗?

food allergy test 簡易好多.祗需手指頭或腳"爭"多肉位置用小針拮,抽幾滴就夠啦!
