Dear all,
In our experience, DAN!, as an organization, does not currently discuss, teach, or present on the use of Enderlein theory (which includes the use of Pleomorphic Sanum products). The truth is, a few DAN! docs have listened to our successes from introducing the Pleo products to our practice. While yes, they created a major positive effect, they are NOT all that we do. But most of the DAN! world is still, sadly, looking for magic bullets, via allopathic thought. The Pleo products are VERY powerful, and require a very different understanding of disease than most allopaths have been taught. Enderlein's theory was a competing theory with germ theory. Germ theory is based upon the idea of killing a bug that is seen as the "cause" of a disease. Enderlein saw the bacteria ,viruses and fungi as merely symptoms of an underlying weakened condition or susceptibility. A totally different way to think, and more in line with homeopathy than allopathy.
We are actually hoping to get an opportunity to point some DAN! docs toward training in both Enderlein therapy and homeopathy. We are putting together a major training for DAN! docs who want to learn
homeopathy, and homeopaths who wish to treat autism effectively, but it won't happen until next spring or summer.
Most DAN! docs do not understand homeopathy, which is one issue, NOR Enderlein's theories, and try to come at it the way that their allopathic training dictates -- that if you see this particular germ in a test result, you then give your client a particular remedy. Unfortunately, it's not that simple. Enderlein theory is a completely different view of disease -- it's not a cookbook approach. It's a whole different way to think about disease.
Pleos work in a very powerful way, but, like all things, are most effective when used with adequate training and experience. There is nothing out there like them, and they are to be used with caution.
They are not magic bullets. Randomly giving Pleomorphic Sanum products to a child outside of an overall system of true healing including detoxification and immune support is asking for trouble, in our opinion, and based on our experience.
Example: Your child shows high strep titers on a test. S/he is given San Strep. Suddenly your child has a very sore throat, or an earache. You go to your pediatrician, who can only give antibiotics, per his/her paradigm. Suddenly all the work that's been done to reduce yeast in the gut comes to a halt, the strep gets re-suppressed by the antibiotic, and your child is worse off for doing so. A homeopathic approach to the sore throat, or earache, would not interrupt the healing process or lose the ground gained. None of this comes naturally to an allopath. It does to a homeopath, but not necessarily to one without training in sequential AND Enderlein theory.
A few DAN! docs are using Pleos because of our success with them, and sharing clients with them. We have spent many hours exchanging ideas with Dr. Usman, who has taught us a tremendous amount about the biomedical issues of autism. She has begun working very cautiously and conservatively with the products. However, much to
our chagrin, some other DAN! docs are apparently starting to use them without proper training. Most of the training currently available on Sanums is through the company in the US that distributes them -- and their trainings are not oriented toward autism. Again, it always requires an indivualized approach, and not
a preset protocol. And that's why we are working to put together trainings ASAP. The end!
