hi everyone,

I haven't turned on my computer for ages.
I have been very busy in looking after my 2 babies since my maid has left.     

I bought a set of uniform but it's not fit for my girl.  So I need to change it next time.  So just remind you all that you need to take a bigger size for them as there is 1 month time for them to grow bigger!!

I've got size 4 for Shanice & i hope it will last for 2 yrs. Since the school will change to another type of uniform when they reach N3. Correct me if I'm wrong!

Dear Coolpizza,
Thanks for arranging the info. Welcome back! Did you buy anything in Japan? There are few good outlet to buy baby clothes. My family went to Japan  last Christmas and we bought lots of things for my baby.  
My girl got a cough this week and I was busy. She 's recovering now! Thanks God!

Actually not much time to do shopping as I went there for 5 days only.  No chance to go to outlets!!!     
1 st day - arrive at the minshuku around 1600 & quicky go to toys 'R' us  & went  to eat something & but some daily use items

2nd day - Disneyland

3rd day - Palette Town & Shinjuku

4th day -   Tama Zoo &  dinner with friends

5th day - last chance to toys'R'us  & go home


very very very tired after this trip as I only slept around 5 hrs per day.


Poor Chloe! Hope she will recover completely soon.
   Has Chloe taken the injection for chicken pox yet? I'm planning to bring Shanice for that on Monday.

Hi mummies:

We have all just come back from a short holiday in Sanya too...all my babies came down with a fever and a cough! Emily still has a very high fever but Zoe seems to be OK now..aiya. By the way, if you are looking for a place to take your bbs for a short trip, I would recommend Sanya. The flight is very short and the hotels are very nice and children-friendly - the food however was very "ma ma d".

Coolpizza: I wish I could go to Tokyo too - I love shopping there for my girls as the clothes are so beautiful but very expensive though.

Ann: I have sent you a pm message. Please check when you have time.

As for uniforms, I agree - definitely get size 4 at least because our girls grow up very quickly. The summer  uniforms I bought for E&Z last year for Victoria seemed very long but after the winter, they are now very short.

Will you mummies be taking your girls and boys during the first two weeks - perhaps we can consider having a little gathering on one of those days - anyone else interested?

On the question of injections, E&Z had their chicken pox injection at 15 mths but when I asked my paediatrician again about the "fai ying lin kao kwan", he said that the risk for kids over 2 yrs old is pretty small so he said it was not necessary.

yes! exactly same as what my doctor's said. he did recommend to take the chicken pox injection but not the other. the injectonfor the chicken pox has been quite popular within US for the past 19 yrs & it is really quite successful. And for the 肺炎鏈球菌 injection, its not really popular yet in HK & like what MARSHMELLOW said, the chance is pretty smaller to kids who are 2 yrs old & above.

I'm planning to bring Shanice for the chicken pox injection during mid of July  just about 2 weeks before school starts. As what the doctor said that period will be the most effective on her. And because I'll be bringing her to disneyland early July & maybe another short trip during mid of July, I'll let her rest & settle down first after back from playing.

Coolpizza: let's see whether the other mummies are interested - if they are, I think a gathering in the 2nd week may be better as the hours are slightly longer.

Yes, I will take my girl to school during the first two weeks, and I am interested in our little gathering .. Glad that we have total 10 girls in our peer group, that are 1/6 of total new SPN students, looking forward to having more new SPN mummies to join us   

By the way, will you arrange any short summer course (activities) to your princess ??? I am searching information now, let share your idea with us ...

I'm planning what shall I do when she is staying in school(because I live far away from school and I will not go home). It's quite funny to meet together! Are there any ways to reconize each other? Hope to see all of you soon!

Let's try and fix a time and date nearer the time - maybe we can go for "yum cha" in the 2nd week to kill some time. Just a suggestion.....I would be happy to organise so if anyone else is interested in meeting up, perhaps they can pm me and I will co-ordinate.

I am not planning any summer activities for Emily and Zoe as they finish at Victoria in mid-July and I think I would like them to take a short break before they start at SPN. I think they will miss their class teachers and schoolmates when they finish at Victoria

I took photos of my two bosses at home using the white wall as a background.  That way, I could take lots of pictures of them and select the "cutest" one :)

Hi, any SPN mami here could advise if my daughter is born in Aug 2005, when can she apply for the N1?
Since all of you are experienced in the application for SPN, any tips and preparation suggested?  I would like to let my daughter go to school as soon as possible, and I understand that N1 normally will only allow those reaching age of 2 to enter, does any mami here know which pre-school / kindergarten offer classes for kids under age of 2?  Many thanks in advance for your great help!

SPN's admission procedure starts in March of each year so for your daughter, she can only apply in March 2006. For your daugther she will be 2 when she starts N1 next summer, so you should be able to apply to all nursery schools this coming year. In the meantime, you might want to consider taking your daughter to a playgroup where she will have to be accompanied by an adult at all times.
