Dear Charlotte,

Because my daughter is applied through her school which is the member of the music festival association. Only the member can check and print out the details (including the adjudicator) for the competitors. You can ask the details from the member who handed in the form for you ~!

My son has been learning piano for about 14 months (started near at 3.5 yr old, now he is 4.5 yr old!).

My son's piano teacher told him that the tempo of this piece should not be too fast. She asked him to play it elegantly and imagine a nice dressed couple dancing in a grand hall! But, I doubt how much my son can realize it! Anyway, I'm so glad that he could perform well and follow his teacher's request (e.g. tempo, dynamic change, etc.) during the competiton.

By the way, he will take the Grade 2 exam in April/May, so he still need to work harder to prepare the exam!

我小朋友星期二那天單簧管合奏拿到78分,只夾了三次而有這樣的成績都算不錯了.

而今早(尖沙咀聚會堂)單簧管獨奏拿了季軍(86分),冠亞季軍都是各一名,共49人參賽,因改過日期所以小朋友排到最後一位出賽.宣佈第三名時我真是一呆,小朋友都唔識出去拿獎,在她演奏完,我只覺音色都幾靚但好似比較平淡,但琴姐姐&我老公就話佢哋一早想到會有獎喎!琴姐姐話她比練習時好好多喎!又話在聽別人演奏時不停和她夾用甚麼速度好,琴姐姐不知表現得幾開心幾興奮,很有成功感! 我們好彩地遇到個好老師.
我比自己拿到獎更開心!!! 今天那位評判很耐心地用了差不多20分鐘講大多數人要改的要點,好像上了一堂大師班.真是獲益良多!!

Dear all BK parents,

I am glad to share the joy and happiness of today. Luckily, my girl is the winner of today's violin competition (grade 3).  Her mark is 88.

Thanks for your comment, Mr. Nigel is a very serious and nice adjudicator. What he said in the mark sheet is exactly the weakness of my girl. Do hope she can improve more.

Thanks Heidi媽,
She is just lucky and so happened to meet the adjudicator who likes her style. She still needs to work hard for further improvement.
Btw, I am so happy to share the experiences of all other parents who have put so much effort on their children and it's my pleasure to learn from all of you !

我女兒今天在藝術中心也是彈了這首歌grade 3 - piano solo(Romance), 她是K2的小朋友﹐今次是她第一次參賽﹐雖然她沒能得到名次﹐但拿到了87分﹐我們都已很開心了﹗評判給了她非常高的平價﹐其實能夠看到她能如此自信的完成這首歌﹐我真的是看得很感動呢﹗
評判說這首歌主要分3大段﹐其中中間的那一段一定要dolce(甜美)也就是說要輕&柔和一些﹐讓它和前後兩段做出對比。當然整首歌都需要加添感情去演繹﹐一定要練熟中間的那一段﹐因為以我所見﹐很多參賽者在緊張的時刻﹐都容易在這裡彈錯﹐它正是整首歌最難控制和重要的一段。。。。。。。。

嘩! 你囡囡K2已經參與三級比賽還拿到非常好的成績.一定會是明日之星,很難得!
我囡囡在K2時還是一團粉.她今年已讀五年級了.

你可以曲目的時間x39 加上中場休息五至十分鐘便是出場時間.但有一些場地秘書一定在3時前報到,否則只有評語不會有分數.

Congatulation! My son also attend the clarinet examination with your daughter on the same day. Can you tell me that how long your daughter learn clarinet? How old is your daughter? As I found that there was a great age difference between the candidates. I wonder if the elder children will handle the clarinet better? Also, is your daughter take any examination? I am planning to let my son take the  ABRSM in the coming year, how about you? [quote]
