GCSE Results This year, Harrow Hong Kong is also delighted to report another excellent set of GCSE results. Of the grades achieved by the 87 pupils in Year 11, 499 of them were A* grades and 228 of them were A grades; this means that 58% of all grades were at A* and 83% of them were at A*/A. The School saw a fantastic set of results across all subjects, but there were some outstanding successes of particular note in Science, the Humanities and Languages. In Biology 99% of all grades were at A*-A, 97% in Chemistry and 99% in Physics. In History 92% of all grades were at A*-A and in Spanish 91% of all grades were at A*-A. These achievements indicate pupils are excelling in a range of subjects across the breadth of our curriculum. There were also many outstanding individual performances: thirty-five pupils achieved A*/A grades in all their subjects; and fourteen pupils achieved nine or more A* grades with two achieving 11A*. These pupils were Agatha, Chinat, Edison, Emily, Hoi Lam, Jacob, Jeromy, Jonathan, Justin, Kevin, Melody, Morgan, Ravi and Sophie. Ms Ann Haydon, Head of Harrow Hong Kong said, “I congratulate the pupils for their exceptional achievement in their public examinations. The A-Level and GCSE results are a strong indication of the hard work of our talented pupils along with the commitment of members of the School’s teaching staff. Beyond academic excellence, our pupils also excel in extra-curricular activities and participate in a bespoke leadership programme. Many of them have gained international recognition in sporting, cultural and charitable work and have played a vital role in developing our vibrant School community.”
