The answer is no. When I daughter is in P1, I check her diary with another parent every night to ensure that I understand what she wrote and she didn't missed anything important.

嘩!如果我地幾個家長是同一班就好了, 可以每晚交換下資料.

不知第1天可否媽媽帶佢地入課室?
通常第1天開課是否要抄手冊?
我地K3開始也有教每天抄手冊.
e.g. 英文worksheet, 中文寫字, mathematics,帶相片一張.等等
每2-3天抄都是差不多

Yes, you can bring your daughter to the classroom on the first day of school.  Then you may meet mothers there.
I don't think there is anything to copy on the first day because diary has not be distributed.
Afterwards, they need to copy the diary everyday.  Teachers who put the list of items on the blackboard so that they can copy it during recess, lunch or after school before they leave.  There should be plenty of time to copy but the words will sometimes difficult.  When kids don't know the words, they are copying it like drawing pictures and you will find it difficult to follow.  

One more reminder to all moms, check the healthiness of your eyes before school.  Otherwise, they can't see the blackboard clearly and will affect there school work.

I go to Evangel Hospital which is near my home.  It cost you around $200 - $250 for inspection but nothing if you buy a pair of glasses there.

Besides piano and Mandarin classes, my daughter is taking summer classes of EQ and gym. at  YMCA(TST)which she enjoy very much.

I heard that some students of upper primary level at SMS attended "revision classes" near the school.  Is it common? Anybody knows?

Brandanmama said If girls are not performing well they will be asked to leave. The advantage is that starting from this year, all primary one students will be admitted by St. Mary's Canossian College (secondary school).

Since it is one dragon now, anyone know if the students which do not perform well still be asked to leave  or just retain one year?

The headmistress has already stated on the parents' day in July that students cannot catch up with the requirements will be "persuaded" to leave the school, which is same as before. However, she did not mention whether students that failed are allow to retain only one year or more than that.

The answer is the other way round.  They are not allow to take students from other Canossian sister's school.

When my daughter is in P1.  The last of the class has left.

When my daughter is in P2.  The last and 2nd last of the class will leave.

As St. Mary is a subsidy school they need to apply from edu if they want the student to retain for a year.  So what I heard is that they reserve quota for P4/P5 girls.  Last year 8 girls in P5 will retain??

I know some extra-curricular activities in St. Mary are scheduled on Sat. Can any Mom tell me if they are scheduled in mornings and finished before noon? 'Cos I would like to review my girl's activities schedule and make some preparation in advance.
