We are back! Any news?  My daughter is sick and need to have medicines for 3 more days.

Hi everyone,

Just back from Beijing & had a serious discussion with investor & the board. They've decided to promote me and incharge for the company. If you have meet me & read my previous posting, you know that I only want a job to Q time. I really did not perform well in this job (comparing with HK standard) My American boss was a bit upset about my discussion with investor, he talked to me privately & said, "You don't want to have a better career, make more money?"  It seems I don't really have a choice.  Our investor is very rich, I've heard that he just earned US$100 million in the US. I asked him, "Do you think I can do that job?"  (I wanted to say, I am just a simple minded C9)  He said, "Yes, I know you can do it."   Really have nothing to say....  My husband was teasing me, he said, it seems that you can work for them for the rest of your life, can't understand why they like you.  

I will first settle down the Shanghai office before moving to Beijing. I've to find someone to replace me, and hire 3 more sales managers. I want my son to finish his school term.  Guess, it's better to move during summer holiday.  We've to start everything all over again, looking for apartment, ayi, school....

Any of you lived in Beijing before? Any sharing? Any thoughts? I'm not familiar with Beijing at all, this was my first time there.

All mommies, When are we going to gather?

HI Critic,
I think I will continue my career if I were you. Just imagine when your son is 10 or 18 years old, he may have his own life and you may feel lonely.
For me, it is very important to have my own career and friends.That's the reason why I still in HK and try to learn more to increase my bargaining power.
My plan of moving to SH may postpone as I may have a chance for further training.
My life here is not easy at all as I was illtreated by my colleague . Maybe they are all men  and don't understand the hardship I met during my pregnancy.

My daughter is also sick after resuming schooling for 3 days.... She is keeping on taking medicine.  It is really headache to me.   What's matter with your little girl?  Hope she can recover the soonest.

I am quite lucky in finding a job in my life. Even when the job market was very bad, I managed to find a very good job.   If you look at my resume & education qualification, I'm really nothing special.  

I've discussed with my husband about quit the job after CNY, but my son is attending fullday school, what am I going to do from 9:00am-4:30pm?  I go to school with my son and pick him up at 4:30 pm & go home together. (remember I specially found an office close to his school) I will do the rest work at home. My mom said, it's a dream job for every mom.

From your posting, I'm sure that you are not a 'simple C9', don't have to worry can't find a job here, perhaps can find something even better.

I thought I have replied to you all in the afternoon but just checked from the topic that my reply hasn't been posted with unknown reason.

Anyway,  I have no objection to go to your mentioned restaurant.  I have been there several time for lunch.  I also found their dim sum is good.

If just only 3 of us join the gathering, may be Critic propose the date and time to see whether we can fit in your schedule.

BTW,  will Monica and Joannek also join our lunch?
