Hi henryesther,

yes, my son is taking bus no.16. However, we will
need extra 20mins to get to the pick up pt(10 mins
walk n 10 mins LRT) I know we should be fair for
those we board the bus first, they should b the one to
alight 1st but I don't understand why they need so
long (about 1 hr) to go around fairview estate. Many
children at our stop have to take extra transport to
get there. We need to leave home early as well but
our request r being neglected.

The same happened to our route last year.  I talked to the teacher in charge - Mr Eric Lam and the school bus company.  After 1 week or so, every child has a seat in the bus.

The school bus has to travel both Fairview Park and Palm Spring and it has to drop students to different houses one by one.That's why it takes such a long time and my kid always says she get dizzy    when the bus turning around houses. One the other hand, student from there also have to get the bus very early in the morning.

So it is better to split the route to save time.  But at the same time the cost of bus fee will be very high if the no. of students is not sufficient for one bus.

Hi henryesther,

Do you need to travel by LRT in order to reach the pick up pt? Which stop are your girl boarding & alighting? I guess most parents prefer the bus company to break up both Fairview Park route & YL route. I don't mind paying a bit higher if they send my son back to my estate so I don't have to bring my little girl with me daily to fetch her brother. Taking LRT to the stop everyday is not cheap too. After separating the route, those staying in YL may reach home early too.

Yes, my son also complained that he felt dizzy after some many turns.

Hi Sim,

Fortunately, the school bus stop is at our estate, Villa Premiere, in Yuen Long District. But it takes really too long after school!  I agree with your view and had actually contacted both the bus company and the school for the suggestions.  Hope that they would handle the problem in a proper way.
