No, she's relatively small as she's born in late Aug.  How about your son?

She's careless when she's at that critical moment (i.e. assessment time).  I remembered in one of her papers last year, she was asked to draw 3 apples on the tree.  You know what, she drew 3 oranges on the tree and was deducted 1 mark.  I told her that if she could be careful enough, she could get full marks and could "win" my prize!!

Oh, today is the last day of assessment? I thought it would last for 4 days tim.
My son insisted that he had not done the Numbers paper yet and he said that today (Wed) wasn't the Chinese paper but Numbers paper. Maybe the teachers divided students into some small groups to do the big papers, and my son didn't get to do the Numbers yet gwa...???
He did tell me about the microwave thing and he said that he knew it's used to cook food. Oh, quite impressive. I had never told him this kitchen equipment before. Haha.
He also said that he did English paper yesterday, so this is something that match with your findings.

Hi Felicia,

I believe it would be Chinese today as they only had Chinese homework yesterday.  I don't know if they subdivided into groups to do the assessments.  My daughter just told me that she had once sat at the Yellow Group as one of the students keep chatting.  She talked more about the GS paper yesterday and I find a few questions that seems not very easy.  Hope she knows the answer...  


They have changed their seats yesterday, accordingly to Andrea.  But she's still in the Blue group.  I've once requested Miss Chiu to place her at the seats in the front as she has got astigmatism.  I haven't got time to chat with her on that but will soon know the "seating plan" again

For the Kitchen one, my son told me that it's about matching.  To match the kitchenware - to select things that belong to kitchen.  This is what my son told me and it was done on Monday.

Thanks Felicia for your detailed comments.  It 's very useful.  I did not do very detailed revision for George.  Hope he can handle it.  Sometimes, I work late and long hours so cannot review very detailed with him.  Your comments is very good to me.  Let's keep in touch.  

By the way, yes, my son mentioned Alex as well.  and also Mitchelle, Gucci (?)...

HI Cartoon9, thanks for your sharing.  It is very useful.  You did very detail with Andrea (Yes, George mentions Sze Hang, is she called Chinese name by teacher in school?)  It seems they are learning more and more knowledge and sometimes really hard to memorise them all.  Really tough to a 4-yr old kid.  

Let's keep this up and + oil......

Hihi,

I think the kids should be very happy right now as they have finished their Q1 assessment.  And most of all, THERE IS NO HOMEWORK for tonight!!!

Felicia and other parents, I don't think you need to worry about your kid performance on the assessment.  Andrea told me that except Monday that they did the two assessments (GS + Maths) right after class started, Tues and today was began with revision before the actual assessment done.

However, good time only last for 1 night. haha. They had 2 pieces of homework yesterday.

haha... i originally thought homework will come again next Tues.  Sigh... good times is usually short...  As there was no homework Wed night, Andrea was not quite willing to do her homework yesterday.

Hi all, it's me again.  Hope you all have a great weekend with the kids.  

I looked at the kid's art bag and find the following.  As per my son, need to do the following action.  But some is not very clear.  Just want to confirm / clarify if my son tells the whole.

1. Picture of a farm (no need to take back to school);
2. Picture of kid flying kite (no need to take back to school);
3. Two little pictures - a duck and a cat (no need to take back to school);
4. a kite (no need to take back to school).
5. Some art papers (As per George, need to make some Christmas decrorator.  Is it?  How many do we need to make?  Do we need to make X'mas tree? )

Pls share the msg you got from your kids.

Dear all moms,
Alvin didn't do the assessments as we were out of town last week (what a coincidence!)  Hopefully he would do the assessment sometime this week.  Since he hasn't been school for a week, there're so many work sheets for him to complete.
Hope he'll get used to school life, and the new seating arrangement soon!

It's very cold these days.  Take care!!    My daughter said they did not go out for PE lessson yesterday because it was too cold outdoor

My daughter also said all the assessment papers have been marked and reviewed in class.  They will be returned to us next Monday.

Your daughter is really clever and can tell so details.  Not sure how they did in the exam and hope all can get good marks.

George said they play games indoor. And Pls be reminded to wear black leather shoes even if the kids wear winter PE uniform when it was not having PE lesson on that day.

Hi momoxu,

My daughter did tell me the result of her assessment papers, just not sure whether she told me the truth.     She told me that they reviewed the General Studies, English and Chinese papers last Thursday and Friday and Maths paper this Tuesday.  She said Miss Chiu has also announced who score full marks for all the 4 papers.     I believe most of the students have no problem with the assessment

Already got the paper yesterday lar. Andrea must got full marks for the 4 papers la.  She is so clever and can remember so details and tell all.
