Good morning to you all,
1A had Art lesson once on every Day 2. My son told me that the teacher is speaking in Cantonese as well. I am also concern about the language system that teacher use. Hope the use of cantonese is just for this transitional period.

There are four science worksheets. My son told me to paste all to the science book. I followed what he has told me.

Agreed....if these schools cannot stand firm in using the English/Putonghua it's really not helping the students to be proficient and fluent in the languages.  Think about putting the kids into an international school and the teachers won't speak Chinese at all.  So will be the students getting to know the language!

    Aslo my son's (G2) Chinese teacher circled his mistake.  But she wrote the wrong word.  From all your messages, I am worried about their Chinese teacher's qualification?

I have not made any comparision with other classes in term of their teaching subjects or homework assignemnts as available in the BK in last week. I think the progress of each class will be more or less the same.    Maybe some classes may have more homework assignments if the class can finish the assignment in the class earlier.  

Personally, what I concern is that I hope the school can maintain their homework expectation for the kids (i.e. 15 minutes of daily "reading for enjoyment", 15 to 30 minutes of homework as highlighted in the student's handbook.

I believe writing and examination, although important, is one of the many skills needs to develope in the kids' daily life. I fully support the school's direction on students' homework.  That is one of the reasons that I choose WKF for my kid.  I believe the school will develop the kids their love of learning.  The kids will have a happy growth in the coming 12 years school life in WKF.

If there are a lot of daily homeworks, weekly Chinese and English dictation, I don't think I can still have times to have fun with my kid through reading and other activities outside the school hours in the past week.  I realize that heavy homework assignments and tests may help the kids to learn a lot of things and writings in a short period of times but it may spoil the kids' interst of learning and cause unncessary conflicts between parent and kid . Yesterday, I asked my son whether he loved the school . He told me that he loved the school and the teachers in particular Ms. LAM and Ms CHU.  That is what I am glad to know from him.

Hi, all parents,we watched the TV programme last night .There was really a piece of record about the primary school.Just a piece,very poor.But anyway we are exciting at all.Did you enjoy it?
By the way, at the parents meeting night,will you bring your kids to school also?I will bring her together. Because she said she would introduce
the school,teachers,new friends to me.Maybe we shall meet in th school at that night.See you.

Really, only few shots for introducing the school. However, my daughter was so excited about that!This is my first time to write some words here. I'm very appreciated we have the channels to share our children's experience. My daughter is in G2.
