Thanks.  To hoho, this is the 2nd biggest challenge in his YW life.  The first one is the 1st date in YW.

Hoho is really very worried about the "telling story".   

Actually, I practiced with him the "telling stories" in the Christmas.  However, he called me at 7pm for help because he was informed the "story telling" will be held today.

I and his brother spent last night with him showing him how to tell the stories, acting any possible situations that may happen, telling him as long as he could stand out and just say a few words that would be fine.  He was a bit relax before he slept.

However, he woke up at 4am this morning telling me that he was too worried and could not sleep.  This kind of things never happen for him before.  he felt a bit sick this morning. I encouraged him to  "Embrace challenges!" and told him he had to face the challenges.  :cry:  :cry:

He is not just "害羞", but worried about any uncertain things and all new things.   I always tried to push/encourage/attract him to partipate in activities.  Hope I could direct him out of his dark tunnel. This is a long way and is my biggest challenge!

Though my son is only a to-be-YW boy, I experienced what you feel as he is the type of 'Stable' in the DISC model and the 'Peace Maker' in the model of Enneagram.  When I saw his passive and withdrawn behaviors, I always want to save him from the terror in the darkness.  Through my prayers, God told me that all I have to do is to 'really accept who he is' .  Comfort and Understanding are vital during these process.  From your messages, I can see you are already on the right track in helping him.  Just don't compare with other children and don't be too pushy.  Yet, sometimes, I will push my son to try one time if he is not too scared on that item.  Sometimes he was willing to continue after the first step but sometimes not.  Similar to your practice, I believe that parents have the role to offer possibilities.  I'm sure God has his own plan on your son and he is surely to get better and better, not to say he is in a God-made confidence-building school.
Let's put our eyes on God!

Did you ever talk with the teachers about your son preformance in class? Or you can ask help from the
教育學家 in school。

Actually last time J&A asked me to pass a story book to you, I passed it to my son told him to
give Hoho directly but he told me that he don't
know who is Hoho. May be your son in class

我的小朋友都於未知的事, 都是很客易有憂慮的, 我自己會鼓勵他去多嘗試 (雖然不是次次奏效), 有時, 他肯踏出一小步, 我已十分感恩

不過, 這類小心的孩子有個好處, 他們通常不會"膽大妄為", 我為此免了不少"擔驚受怕" 的情況

I was also   if I needed to speak anything in front of people when I was small, my friends always told me my speech was in a shaky voice.  It improved after I graduated from high school. May be HoHo will also grow braver in time.  May be or not, in any case he can be a successful person.  Moses in the Bible also said he was not good in speaking, but he was the most wonderful leader in the history.
Actually, his character made him extraordinary lovely in my eyes.
Ken Ken is also wonderful brother, pls pass my thumb to him for his effort in encouraging HoHo!
