Hi Sari, wingtung also attent Tom Lee. Up to now she still enjoys so much but its so boring for me. For boy, it's really hard to control them to attend this class. I don't know it's good or not but I try to finish it to get the Cert...as we studied for 2 years already. Don't want give up at this moment....haha
you can consider other piano class if you find Tom Lee is not suitable for Harris. Wingtung also has piano class with private teacher now. She also enjoy it much but only lazy to practise.

Hi sari,

I completed 16 lessons with Preston on and off at Tom Lee.  i could not continued anymore.. i think if i continued for 2 yrs as Midco, i think my life would be 20 yrs shorter.  My son behaved exactly as Harris. My head was on fire ...Now Preston join the private piano lesson 1:1 nearby my place.  He could manage to play some piano and read some notes..

Tom Lee definitely was not Preston's cup of tea.

Wingtung said they have dictation yesterday. She wrote 工,人...but not sure true or not. I asked her do u know what is 默書, she replied is 遊戲, 老師讀書,我哋寫,寫完唔準比人睇......

Chun Him's also attending JMC right now. He's in the class for almost 6 months old, going to finish book 1. Same as Midco, he likes the class a lot but I feel boring...haha. His teacher is quite good and he likes her a lot too. That's why my current plan is still to carry on....no exit plan at the moment....hehe

I didn't enrol him to have piano class with private tutor 'cos I guess his fine motor skill is still quite weak. Every time after he finished his homework, he always complaint to me that his fingers are very tired and need me to help him to massage....haha.

The Music Wonderland already boring enough for both Anson and Me, so we didn't join the JMC. Anson is more satisfied on private piano class as she could play a song in 2 lessons. This result also satisfied me, haha!

Chun Him also told me they have dictation yesterday. He said it's 記憶遊戲....write a word in a box and then leave the next one blank and then write another word and leave the next one blank and so on. Don't know if it's true or not.

i think chun him is right. according to zi kiu, your classteacher's practice is write a word and 隔一個格.

suen la. our kids are only 4 yr old jar! adrian also writes S in the opposite way. his chinese is weak too. therefore, before the dictation, i pre-dictation him at home. i said it's a contest between he and his daddy. he likes it very much because his daddy made a lot of mistakes purposely. if i didn't do the pre-dictation, i didn't realise he is not familiar with the words : 早 and 回.  
i'm not too worried about tm as the words taught are still easy. but later, the no. of words is getting more and more and the word itself will be more and more difficult. (i heard the upcoming dictations will include ALL words taught. that means, they need to revise the whole star book for each dictation! therefore, their 1st dictation is the easiest!)

btw, we saw anson today. adrian was so happy that he followed anson and forgot to follow me (i went up to the classroom via music room). adrian was panic when he could see me. he ran around and when he saw me, he cried aloud. he was scared and refused to enter the classroom.
幾經辛苦先settle him down...

all, may i know :
1) if your kids still keep the textbook '奇妙的我" in their schoolbag? is your teacher still teaching this book?
2) which 3 words are your kids recognising this week? week 4 or week 5?

we quit JMC after 8 lessons. my hb said it's a waste of money on adrian coz he wasn't focusing at all. my son needs a lot of attention. therefore, it's not favourable for him to join group lesson like tomlee: where no one gives him compliments if he's good or scolds him if he's not good. He's been having private piano lessons for 2 mths. so far so good. at least, the teacher is one on one. now, he practises piano everyday because he must play well during the piano lesson. otherwise, no candies.

I really fed up with Preston, i tried so hard to chit chat with him re what happened in KV every day..he seems not interested in telling me.  Or tell me few words only...I do not know what he learnt in class and if he has dictations etc.   i do not ask him anymore..it is up to him if he wants to tell me about it.  I really want to have a good chat with his teacher on the upcoming parent day.

suen la. they're BIG boys now. don't push them la. adrian won't tell me what happened too. i just ask his teacher directly everyday...haha...you could try sharing with him what happened at your office. he might tell you what happened at school! haha... don't worry. i think Preston is fine.

The textbook '奇妙的我" is finished last week, no need to keep in school bag. You will find a "tick" on the page numbers if that pages are taught.

For the Chinese word card, Anson told me she learn 桌 and 椅 this week.

Anson also told me she did wrong on the Chinese dictation as she put the words in the wrong positions. She said teacher will put a stamp on the paper with good work.

Anson said Pak Yin hasn't back to school for 2 days. Hope he get well soon.

I got Anson's dictation result and they are all full marks, thanks Anson!
Anson told me she saw Adrian today but she don't want to answer me whether she said Hello to auntie Mary or not. I got her answer in my mind then.

Cherry, Wingtung said Preston is her good friend when she did the homework (pieces of colour paper, some already done at school). "Your good friend is boy or girl"....i asked her who is "the one"? she said is Preston...haha
