Hi danielboy,

I saw Janice's result and I am also very very surprised as she got all "star" in this term.  Another mom told me that around 1/4 of students got that result last year. Don't know whether this is true or not. You know Janice is emotional and not so smart actually.  I just think St. Cath's teachers are nice as they know that we really need the school report to present it to other schools.

Don't worry la.  That mom also told me that most schools will focus more on teachers' comments as well. Interview of the children is also essential.

放鬆d!  "o" 已經係表現良好, 點會唔見得人? 仲有, interview表現肯定先係最最最緊要, 我有朋友個小朋友去考心儀小學, 1st in時個老師擺烏龍, 同佢講唔洗交profile叫佢keep住, 2nd in先攞嚟, 結果, 佢小朋友有得2nd in仲收咗, 1st in好多人交咗profile都無得2nd in呀, 所以我覺得個school report應該唔係咁重要, 1st in 時根本都無人睇.  DanDan老師都同我講過, 以前佢有學生成績表靚靚, 喺學校又乖又叻女, 點知好多學校唔收, 原來佢喺學校表現就叻, 去到陌生環境粒聲唔出, 所以你話嘞, 乜嘢先係主菜?

I agree that Janice is emotional but she is definitely  a smart girl.  You should have confidence in her.  Besides, being emotional, I believe, is common among all females.   Daniel also got an all "star" report which was extremely surprising for us.  人哋d乖乖女攞就唔出奇啫, 我件生蕃就真係奇聞.  Although his school reports have always been pretty good in SC (ever since 1st term of K1), there were 2 items which he could never get a perfect score ie. "concentrates well" and "able to observe rules".  呢次都算爆大冷, 簡直係一個迷

I agree with danielboy! "o" 已經係好好表現呀! 你唔好俾咁大壓力自己啦! 我識好多人都有all "star", Cherrie都係! 不過咁又點呢? 試諗下, 咁多人all "star", 張school report已經再冇代表性! 係真o架, interview表現先係最重要!!!

今年我朋友囡囡讀SC K3, K1 & K2都唔係all "star", 但女拔收o左佢wor! 佢in九龍塘小學就忘記交profile, 結果又收佢, 所以真係唔駛擔心呀!

就算touch wood冇一間私小收都未駛擔心, 因為仲有大抽獎嘛! 我有另一個朋友囡囡今年考私小真係冇間收, 但"塞翁失馬, 焉知非福"? 佢2nd round抽到Maryknoll呀! 冇間收令佢慳唔少留位費!  

所以我覺得一切上天已有所安排, 唔擔心得咁多, 盡o左力咪算囉! "放鬆下啦香港人"!

係o羅! 唔o使太擔心! 正如cherriema所講, 一張school report真係唔太有代表性! SC一級有成27班, 攞full mark起碼過百人, 咁可以代表d乜呢?
我都覺得interview表現 & luck更重要! 好多o野都唔係我o地控制範圍之內! 唔好咁唔開心啦!
反而多d讚賞tungtung o既進步, 加強佢o既自信, 等佢interview表現好d, 更為實際!
希望tungtung考到心儀小學! 加油!

no worries, be happy.  
All stars doesn't mean anything.  It is quite subjective.  Besides, learning is life-long.  Relax.
tungtung's school report is not bad.  Don't make any unnecessary comparison.  
Don't you think that tungtung has had a very good progress recently.  That's good enough.  Give your honey a big hug, a big kiss and supporting words.
