Does pui pui take snacks at school?  HH doesn't sometime and so he'll be very hungry after school most of the time....Does pui pui ask for food when she get home?

I actually don't know whether or not she takes the snacks they have at school. I've never asked but what I do know is that she's sooo hungry after school.

Hi Joys, that's so clever of Man Man For that photo of her in the wrong class, Pui Pui just said, "That one Pui Pui" and she would repeat that over and over again.

Yesterday, she crawled and said "ui Pui pah pah".. and I said, "No Pui Pui, you are not climbing you are crawling".. and then my husband said, "ah pah" also means crawling. I'm confused. So in Chinese "ah Pah" means crawling and climbing? I think I have to start trusting her more. Hee hee.

Sandy,

Pui Pui does lots of funny things.... she punishes her doll. She'll say that,' baby hit hit baby mummy (meaning Pui Pui) and then will say to her doll, "naughty" and then put the doll in the naughty corner saying, "naughty corner, you naughty". Maybe I punish her too much. Yikes!!!

And then sometimes she opens her Yeye's book and tries to do the yoga exercises in it. So funny because she does them all wrong.... but she's trying.

I think she was trying to show me how she crawls at school. Because she says, "at school". Or maybe she's imitating her cousin brother's crawling.

They are so cute at this age

I know my cantonese is terrible. Today I called a customer and said, "You owe us money" in chinese but I actually wanted to say, "You haven't paid us yet".. I heard there's two ways of saying things in Chinese. Oh well.... my customer nearly flipped!!!

But I'm better. 5 years ago, my friend's mother asked me if I wanted to eat, "Sang choy" meaning lettuce. And I said, "No, I like to eat cooked vegetables, not raw".

Hey Dear moms,
My gal started her P2 in Dec.  Her name is Nok Yan.  In the first week, she was fine going to school.  But this week, it was horrible.  Everything, my mother in law wanted to change her uniform, she just kept saying 'no' and when she got to the school, she started crying.  My father in law kept saying that she may not be treated well in school.  What do you guys think?  I dono.  Of course, I trust the teachers but I am afraid, too.  Is it normal to behave like this?  Pls help!

Thanks for your advice.  Children's crying is "infectious".   I hope my girl will get used to it.  I'm just worried about her, coz I don't have time to take her to school and don't really know the situation.  BTW, if she can leave school at 4, then I can pick her up, that makes me feel better.

啱啱返學,喊我諗都好正常,焮焮就好鐘意返學,返學初段都喊左幾日,之後你叫佢唔返都唔得,但又唔知點解,又會有一段時間又喊,又話唔返學,好彩都係好短暫,從觀察中,焮焮好鐘意學校生活

我個人相信老師都應是有愛心的,而接觸過程中,感覺也好,但始終三個老師要照顧咁多咁細小朋友真係有些難度

我係在職的,所以我都唔係好知焮焮在校的情況,但總括,我都是放心的

係呢,你係全職家庭主婦定係在職呢

希望你囡囡能投入及適應校園生活

Thanks may123.  I am working mom and because my mother-in-law and father-in-law didn't support me sending my gal to school, that's why I am so worried.  I hope if I have a chance to observe the class time, I will feel better.  Is there any lesson observation for parents in HKPS?

我諗係沒有的    焮焮返左學咁耐,就病咁耐,十一月尾仲入埋院,住左八日 連下面果位管理員都話唔好咁細個比佢返學,屋企人都係反對的.真係好大壓力

pooh1012, I was in the same predicament as you are 3 months ago. Pui was fine the first day but when she discovered that mummy was not going to be around DAILY, she cried her eyes out. She spent the first 2 months not wanting to go to school. My inlaws were also hard on me telling me that I was wasting money because kids that young won't learn anything and that I was making her sick with all the germs around her (plus taking away her nap time). It made me feel REALLY bad.
But it has been 3 months since Pui started school and there's a world of difference in her progress. In fact, she loves school. She enjoys her friends and while she still says occasionally that she wants to go on "holiday" meaning to go out with Mummy, she doesn't protest going to school. And she's singing songs and saying more Chinese words. This is so wonderful for us because prior to school, we had not much success with her Chinese. We are not strict at home (or rather, she bullies her mummy and mummy spoils her) so having discipline at school is actually a good thing.
3 months down the track, I'd be lying if I say I don't feel bad about sending her to school so early.... I still do.... but not as much

To Joey..... wow, the interview process for Primary school is so daunting. But by the sounds of it, Irene is already doing so well. It'll be our turn very soon, in 3 years time. Yikes!!!
