Can anyone share if there is any special requirement for taking student photos for use at MCS?  For example, backgroun color, hairstyle, blue or peach uniform?  Thanks a lot.

Don't worry. The school will arrange the photo shooting later. You will be informed later. Blue uniform is requested.

So you mean we need not take the student photos ourselves during summer vacation?  And the school will require us to use their service after the school starts in Sept?

Yes! Actually all students have already taken their photos recently in late June. Believe the P.1 students will take theirs very soon. Please use the school's service as all photos will have a double-side adhesive tape at the back of each photo. It's more convenient to use it on the handbook, school reports, library card, student card etc.

在學校影的相片雖然很平但影的很差。如果唔係亞囡帶返屋企我都諗唔到相中人係佢！頭髮冇撥好，個身又少少斜，個樣仲怪怪地。估計都係一個個排隊影，咁多人影，影完就算。  

這些相片要用來貼在手冊、成績表、學生証，如果用亞囡在學校影的相片，將來睇返張相都眼寃。我就決定不用了 。我自己用數碼相機影到滿意再裁成4R(6張証件相合併成1張4R)去快圖美曬只不過$1.20，之後剪出來在背後貼雙面胶紙就可以了。

So we can take our own student photos with the blue school uniform for use at school?  How big should the size be?  1 x 1-1/2 inch? How about the background color?

Last year, I submitted the photo size as 1"x1.5", which was stated on the memo.  However, the class teacher told me that the photo is too small.  Therefore, I submitted again 1.5" x 2".  The report has no photo frame, so, I will suggest you to sumbit the photo with 2" in length.

When they took the photo at school, they were told to wear the blue uniform, and the background was blue.  So, please wear the blue uniform when your kid takes photo.  Background can be any colour.  It will be better to choose the colour which you can use it for other function.  That is White, blue & pink.  For me, I chose pink colour background.  And, I just checked my file, one 4R (4"x6" landscape) can cut 8 photo of 2" x 1.5" size (2 rows x 4 columns).

There is a topic in BK which introduce a software which can handle this trim passport size photo function.  When I locate it, I will post you the link.
