Re: 面試表現更重要 拔萃女小學戴何天美校長
Dear Leehoma001,
However, please don't be offended as I do not agree with the analogy you given.
I would like to point out again that to have certain perception on something or an issue will not be come from nothing or just a wild guest. In fact, I have given my rationale why I have such perception because of those just "average" students I know as compared with those top students. However, I don't have any solid evidence such as any scientific data to support my statement otherwise I will not call it my "perception" but "fact".
Please feel free to disagree with whatever I say. I don't easily get offended. Even if I do, I can recover in no time with a cup of black coffee, or better still, a dose of single malt.
Putting aside whether there is any great variation in the academic achievements of DGS's girls, I do not have any problem with variation in the students' academic achievements. Variation is a fact of life, and, in a way, a good thing. What a boring and uninspiring place a school is if its students are of the same or similar type with uniformly high level of academic achievements. Education is after all not an industrial process. Do you really consider DGS a better school if all DGS girls get 10As in HKCEE? Some people may think I am insane, but a school that produces nothing but 10As students is a school that I will avoid like plague.
Regards,
