每天有大概4-7樣功課，以傳統學校來說，都算正常。每個cycle默一次中文，一次英文，英文有unseen dictation，在十一月頭各科都有評估，並剛剛在十一月中完成了第一次考試；Again, it is quite normal for a local traditional school. 一年有三次考試。阿仔當然有感到壓力，但他每次默書測驗佢既表現都好好，所以反而換來了一些成功感。我都有同佢睇功課、溫書和閱讀課外書，但老實講，呢d仲好靠佢自己，如果自己都無心，家長好難迫。

Similar to Shrek123, I also have some reservations on the school - the environment, the "big" class size, etc. However, I don't think my son would roam around the street after school (at least for the first few years), so that makes no big different.

I do believe SFA is a good school, otherwise, I won't spend my time and effort to queue up for submitting the form, for the interview, etc. My son is lucky to have been accepted and we will register.

My son is only in P1, I am not sure if my info is right, other St. Francis parents, correct me if I'm wrong. To my knowledge, there should be elite class starting from P4. The class teachers are quite nice (my son's class, I heard that there maybe some teachers quite serious). You can call the class teachers in school or send them a mail if you need their help. There will be extra charges for extra cirricular activities, but not expensive, my son is having violin class and it's $1700 for around 3 months. You can choose the activities in weekday or on Sat.

我無聽過校長話有精英班. 在家長坐談會裡, 校長好肯定咁講過sfa係無精英班, 每級四班係常態分佈. 他還說sfa個個都係精英(當時個個家長都好開心, 哈!).
sfa另外有資優抽離式教育, 但這跟其他學校精英班專注學科操練相差十萬九千里.  
若學校認為你係資優或check 到有report 話貴子女係資優都可以參加當中的活動. 活動係多元化, 情緒管控都包括. 跟常規科目無直接關係. 有d似興趣小組. 資優活動二年級學生已可參加.
小提琴班及其他樂器班係全年分兩期, 每一期有14節課. 每一期$1700.     
有兩個net teacher, 每星期兩堂. english literature 個兩堂就是她們教.

Thanks very much for your valuable information.
My daughter got a seat there but I just worry whether my daughter can accomodate this school or not.   
My daughter likes doing papers very much but as my point of view the most important thing is good learning environment & atmosphere.
I heard that SFA will give presssure to pupils that what i worry the most.
I am waiting for KTS and  lucky draw.

壓力係家長俾, 多過學校俾.    :  個個都叻, 個個有 family 支持, 但考第一永遠得一個.  期考考一百名以外, 在成績表上無名次, 所以只知誰人考得好, 不知誰人考得差. 學校又一德政.  sfa學習氣氛一定好.

It should be around 42-45 pupils in one class. Yes, it is a big class, no small class. It is the only bad thing about SFA.

MayFair, it should have elite class starting from P4, if I remember correctly. Can anyone clarify it?

Can you tell me more abt teachers?  Are they friendly to pupils? OR very serious to pupils in the classroom?

+老師大部份很和藹，低年班時常有小禮物獎，有時我覺得
   有些老師太'林'，唔記得交功課都是寫手冊，間中才罰抄
   書，所以小兒唔係好怕。
+課程比一般小學快，父母要跟貼，五年級以上較多功課，
  日子有功，小朋友程度高，中學會較輕鬆。
+默書測驗不計分，壓力較少，如不計較名次，讀得幾輕
   鬆。
+測驗有時覺得答案較死板，最不好是不派考試卷，學生唔
    知錯什麼，唔知其他名校是否一樣。
  +在九龍區，除了一些有中學的小學外，我相信派位成績與
     宣小可稱雙冠。
   +有很多課外活動。

And can you share that are there any foreigner English Teacher in SFA ? and is it true that SFA is suitable for boy than girl, since I heard that boy's allocation to secondary school is having advantage than girl's ???

Up to this moment (my son is P1), I can feel the teachers are fine and nice, and more important, they are experienced, as I believe they have been working in the school for long time (at least 2 yrs+), this shows that school management is stable, not chaotic. Sorry for not having more info as I have been with the school for only 2 months. Maybe other parents in higher class can tell more.

Hi Mandy,
Do SFA accept only 1/3 girls and 2/3 boys in classroom? Not the ratio is 50/50 cos I saw the P6 central allocation result for secondary school.
