1. I talked about value system, character and conduct should be educated at home instead of relying on institutions and teachers.
2. Professional / Vocational is nothing wrong, philosophy is not everything or more superior than other professional / vocational programs or electives.

For Polytechnics and University, it's a natural development, I talked about that in my blogs 2-3 years ago, in 1982, the CNAA already agreed most HK Polytechnic programs equivalent to universities. Most of them are professional or vocational.
In good old days, many Big 2 alumni thought they are superior, but that's not true any more. I won't say CIT and MIT is not as good as UCLA if not better.
Another classic example, some people consider BSc >> BEng, how about Cambridge Engineering is BA.
Be open minded.
