歌神張個大女要考幾次才能考上，而細女始終考不上。

女兒當年考兩間lS，一間易入的，一間難入的。她考完出來說，兩間的英文同數學卷難度差天共地。

結論，好lS好難入，尤其插班入。

頂尖LS, 是再揀其中再頂尖小部分的去考IB, 其餘的考DSE, 頂尖IS, 則是全部人一起考IB。
事實上分數亦只是差0.x分。
無論如何，其實LS和IS最頂尖的學生也很出色，不過會不會高分低能就不知。
但大家討論的是普遍學生的表現，而且成績也不是唯一的成就。

你問得太多，暫只答一樣。

1.  lB 平均分全港最高的兩間 LS 中的lB學生，係神校學生中再細心挑選的。除ESF外，多數lS所有學生也考lB。 記憶所反及，兩間學校的lB生數量很少，較易控制分數。

2.  香港學校學生，是考試專家，是人所共知的事。  小小 lB 難不到香港學生。

3.  整體教育質數, 學生質數不應由lB score 代表。牛劍 Ivy也不只看 IB scores.

I would like to think, some LS brilliant students are brilliant not because of the school, they are brilliant "despite" the school.

I always think, these students will become more brilliant if they have a chance to study in IS, I mean to start since little to become a real IS person when the character and mindset is being brewed, not those who get into late like y7 or even y10. I know many parents thought they are smart by doing primary school in LS then secondary in IS and thought they have the best of both worlds. I really can't agree with that. I think they have missed the best of IS.

當然local school 也有好的學生，不過我自己不喜歡那種模式和課程，結果如果一樣，不如揀自己喜歡的過程。不喜歡的原因主要是自己已經歴過不想小孩再經歷

My girl was also a LS to IS convert.   Not because I thought it was a smart move, but because my girl was born a IS person and was locked in an LS mistakenly by me. which I regret. But luckily her attributes were like in-born and were not affected by the local school years, nor by her parents for that matter.  

in my daughter's case, she reap tremendous benefits from switching to IS.

But I agree, best to start young in general.

吾係威力，係小學生涯的分別，已經影響了小孩，當然其實有一些比較活動敎學的local school 也不錯，但如果用LS mindset 讀IS就冇乜意思。當然有些家長很欣賞傳統教學尤其名校的一套，其實冇問題，他們轉去IS反而頂吾順（我指家長），百貨遇百客，就當我們賣花讚花香。

LS 和 IS 一大分別，不論學年，也是...

LS定了一個學術行為標準，學生家庭負責達到這學術行為標準，唔得自已攪掂，再唔得便成為麻煩學生。

lS呢，它們一般會專重孩子成長的獨特性，孩子與趣的獨特性，孩子發展時間表的獨特性。它們會懂得欣賞孩子的長處。

I don't really bother to try local school, actually it's me myself who cannot fit into local school even my daughter can fit in. When I saw their 婆婆媽媽ways, my adrenaline level just shoot up. However I got friends who really like that way and think this is the way to good discipline and ethics. Well, just suit themselves.
